MIDNIGHT SYNERGY or Anyone else -- PLEASE HELP ASAP

Hi
I just installed the RTWD on my laptop computer (Toshiba 2100CDS, AMD-K6(tm) 3D processor, AT/AT Compatible)164 MB Ram, 4 GB, and the game will not load,, just goes back to the desktop. I keep the resolution on 800x600, 24 bit, but have tried to see if it will work on any other setting. No such luck
The error message I receive when clicking on play is:
UNABLE TO CREATE 3D SCENE
As far as I know this is a 3D capable computer
Any ideas what I can do, set up or check to fix this so I can play my game?
