Problem: Wonderland Secret Worlds loads and plays fine, but Wonderland and Return to Wonderland stop loading and on a black (DOS Screen) display:
______
ERROR
______
Couldn't load Texture: graphic\conveyor.jpg, Flag 1
Does anybody know what the problem is and/or how to fix it?
Background:
Our PC recently died. When we tried to start the compueter, we got a blue screen with an error message about missing and/or corrupted files.
Well, we took it to "Geek Squad". They backed-up the two user "Profiles". When it was returned, a knowledible friend backed-up the entire hard drive before replacing it with a knew hard drive. Our old operating system was Windows XP. He installed Vista and then transferred the data from the backup to the new harddrive. He said the "Programs" would need to be re-installed because they would not be in the new "registry". I installed all three (3) Wonderland games from the original disk I received when I purchased the programs. Wonderland Secret Worlds loads and functions fine. The other two (2) Wonderland programs get the same error message above. I have tried re-onstalling the programs, but the results are the same.
Sorry for the long detailed story.
Please HELP!! This is the only computer game I own.

Hi Dee,
make sure you update your games to the latest versions (e.g. Wonderland is up to 1.17) - I believe this was an incompatability that we fixed in later versions.
The other thing that might help is updating your video graphics drivers to the latest version - even after a service call (or with a brand new computer), they are often out-dated, which might be the issue.

Sometimes the update doesn't work with some graphic cards. I had to go thru my texture folders and make sure everything was sized to
64X64 128X128 and so on
If they were off I had to resize them or they wouldn't load. It was the same with the backgrounds and some of the model pics. I didn't have this trouble with my pci graphic card but the new one I got was an agp and a better card.

Thanks, Midnight Synergy. How can I get the latest updates? Also, can I download drivers from the internet or is this something I need to go to the local computer store to buy and have installed?
Thanks, uneerose. Can you tell me how you "resize" a folder? I've never heard of this. And it probably explains the problem I was having on the old PC.

He means he have to resize the image of a won;t load texture to 64x64,128x128 or 256x256.

Dee, I haven't had the opportunity to play with Windows Vista yet. Here is a link to troubleshooting monitor and video problems in vista.
http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Window ... 91033.mspx
You need to find out what kind of graphic (video) card you have then you can go to their website and see if they have new drivers for your card.
I use irfanview to resize pictures. It's a free program and I've been using it for years.
http://www.irfanview.com/
Sometimes it's only one jpg in the folder that needs resized, sometimes all of them do. You need to know exactly which folder contains the odd sized picture. I don't have a folder named graphic or a conveyor.jpg on my computer.
Do you remember what level it was? When I download new textures I always check the sizes because sometimes we all might miss the correct size for one pic.
Let me know if any of that helps.

Bround, they were asking about
video card updates. MS doesn't deal with video cards. The game update would only fix bugs in the game itself (which would unlikely help).

Thanks, tyteen4a03. I understood what was meant. I simply didn't know how to do it.
Thanks, bround. I will do as you suggest to get the latest updates.
Thanks, uneekrose. Your information sounds most helpful. I think I will try the resizing first (after I download the update(s)). If I still have trouble I will check out the Vista troubleshooting link for video card updates.
Thanks, mqdar. It sound as if I might need program updates an video card driver updates as well.
Thank you to everyone. All information was greatly appreciated. After I get some time to follow these suggestions, I'll check back and let you know how things are progressing.
