I have two scritters and one crab and 3 buttons to cover. I got it all sussed apart from how to get a scritter or a crab actually onto the yellow button. When I bounce them across they stay in front of it and there's no way I can get them any further. I've tried putting the crab in the water in front of various gates in the hope I could use a scritter twice but it's not working. I'm getting rather frustrated now.

Can anyone give me the tiniest hint as to what to use where please?

You need to take a run at the crab, after setting him up to bump across - if you charge fast enough, he'll be so "scared" that he'll run right to the yellow button

Yep, just found the other thread thanks, though heaven knows how anyone is supposed to know what's it's about from the title.

I will go and try some scare tactics then.

i just can't seem to do it!

i can't scare the crab. he sits there and stares at me. i'm obviously doing it wrong! where do i run to to scare him?

Hi Zanne, I was stuck on the same I just could`nt get him on the yellow button, then i got him just one step away from the springer thing, then i got as near as i could to him then i put my arrow pointer to where he was but one right up to the water then i just went to the pointer and he went straight on the yellow button, (I finished that game but stuck on the next level) hope that helps you,

I managed to get all of them buddies on their buttons but now I'm stuck in the next part with the turtle. My problem is how can I get her to make a bridge for me at the end of the path ? If you have any clues it would be really really nice.

I tried with the grow power on the other side where the mossy button is, to stuck the turtle on the button. I must be really tired because I don't manage to do it. Or maybe this is not the right solution. If I closely follow the turtle, it goes on the bridge and then in water. I am stuck sorry. time to eat now but anyway I'll try tomorrow, maybe it would be better.

I, too, am stuck trying to get that turtle where he/she is supposed to go. I saw the hint that says the turtle doesn't go on the mossy button. So I can get him to make a bridge onto the far left part to get the gems, but that doesn't help me get the blue button turned on. I need another hint or two, please??!!

You need to make him go

down, right and down again with the help of 3 well placed grows. He'll then form a bridge down at the bottom for you to get the gems.

Well I already know how to get the gems. I don't know how to turn on the blue button to open the gate.

The turtle goes over it on his way down if you place the grows in the right places.

Thanks, everyone! I did finally get it, thanks to janetgalle's picture and detailed instructions. Sigh. . . I'm far from the brightest bulb when it comes to these puzzles.

Thank you all so much for the hints, in this thread and the other one! There are three things I probably would've never found out by myself:

-To get the crab on the yellow button

-I didn't get the idea that the turtle would continue walking when the logs lift it out of the water.

-I tried the exactly timed grow (to get the turtle down from the travelator to the green button, instead of up) a few times, and then I gave up, before I read the hints.

Life is full of mysteries and surprises, especially on Fire Island.

Janetgalle, I'd like to have the picture for the turtle because i replay the game cos i have cheates a few levels and this one has one i have cheated and i dont know how to get gems and the blue button so your picture can help me.

Are you able to direct the turtle towards the transporters? If so, you need to put one grow at the end of each them, and quikly put one behind him before he reach the button. In that way he'll continue across the button, and end in water. Then you go near the mossy button, but don't press it yet. Then put a grow left and N of the cyan(?) button, and one right of it, in water, and one SW of the last Grow. Now step on the button, and hopefully the turtle will swim all S, so you can go around and collect gems. I don't know for sure, it's from memory, but he's suppose to take a right and then go S after pressing button.

If this doesn't help, I'll make you a screenie
