Lukas, I've read your walkthrough, but the thing about it is that the 'physics' of spellballs can be very difficult at times. There is a VERY unintended solution for Ice Flower Cave.

With your last Floing spell, you can block the ice flower from shooting right the first time. This allows you to get the scritter. The second time, you can use Grow to block the ice flower a second time ( ), and you can get the coins.

A very silly solution. Don't you agree?

I thought this was the intended way, that's how I did it anyway
