Can anyone tell me where the first glyph appears. I'm stuck in the mirror room with no glyph to get out?

I don't remember, but have you done all levels available? Have you talked to everyone and asked every question?

If you mean your in the mirror room and the bridge has collasped, then walk on every tile in the mirror room. A dialog should come up when you step on certain tiles.
