I really hope y'all will give me critical feedback on this first level.

Please re-download the texture - I made some changes to the floor.

I hope you enjoy my first (???) level and have fun.

[Edit]   I'm so very sorry that I forgot to mention that Emmy walked me through this experience with her encouragement and tests of the level. Thanks, Emmy. I enjoy your levels so much and am grateful for your "go get 'ems".

So happy you made a level.
Off to download and play.

EDIT:

Just finished it! Wow, Anne! That's an amazing first level! 8)
So many possibilities. :o
And I see you're like me with cannons and TP's.

Congratulations on your first level Anne, I am so happy you took the plunge and what a plunge it is.
I just finished this humdinger of a first.
Not only are you a ace level solver, you are off to a fast start in level designing.
Thanks to your sign I knew exactly where to start otherwise it would have taken me a bit longer to sort out.
The cannon took a bit of thinking to get it where it needed to be and as I could only find one solution for its movement I'm sure I did it your way with the help of another item to redirect it.
I don't have anything critical to say other than where to start first but you gave a helpful sign for that.
I hope to see many more levels from you as you did a fine job with your first.
Thanks and carry on. :D :D :D

Thanks Mark and Kiki for the helpful comments! After my eyes centered, I took another look. There really isn't a clear direction to go (except for the sign) and frankly, I was overwhelmed with the "first look". I'll tighten up future levels and see where that takes us.

And thanks, so much, for the fine, fine welcome to level-making from two of the the best level makers ever!

Thank you Anne and congratulations for your first level!

It took my quite a number of retires, but Qookie made it safely home.

One small note: the barrel is convenient but not really necessary.

Kiki: I am not quite sure why you needed another item to redirect the cannon.

Hey Amnon,

Thanks for the comments! How can you exit without using the barrel?

How did you exit without using the barrel?
The same way, just ran faster before the blue-gate closed.

Well I needed a box to get it thru the TPs to the left side.

It now looks like I used the keg for a different purpose cuz it had nothing to do with me exiting.
Still a fine first level Anne. :D :D :D

Try the revised version. See what you think.

I still wasn't able to finish the first version. I simply don't see it. I can get the cannon to the left side, but after that I see no way to get a sphere after it to roll over the timer.

Now I played the revision, but not the intended way, for I didn't use some items.

Here is what I intended.
The yellow spheres break on the coin so that you can access the barrel.

The red sphere goes down to go with the other red sphere in filling the water hole at bottom left.

The barrel (which is blown by the boulder) goes in front of the box which starts the generator.

The cannon is used as a stopper for a boulder which keeps the pink timer going.
I'm so sorry everyone. I really thought I had tested this well. If I make a second level, will you give it a try?

No need to apologize, Anne. We all see things differently, so it's easy to miss something.
My secret weapon is Marinus. He has a keen eye and a brilliant mind.
And trust me, I can miss the most obvious things.

Looking forward to you next one. :)

Welcome to the wonderful world of level-making Anne and the equally wonderful world of loopholes!

I played the revised version and used the cannon to blow the box in the wall, then as a stopper for a boulder and strolled home with the gold. :D

This was terrific fun, now where's No. 2? :D

Thanks Mark, but I'm afraid that's too much honour. If you would know how stupid I can be sometimes.

Anne, don't be sorry! I have made so many loopy levels I lost count long ago.
Of course we will play your levels, in fact I look forward to your next so get back into the editor and get busy.
 :D

PS- About the timer, it is possible to push an item onto the ice and just make a mad dash to beat the gate before it closes.
I didn't see any other way but that is my narrow vision in level solving.

When downloading the revised level I forgot to save the initial level, so now I lost it:
was there a generator there?

Now this revision has a boulder-generator which I used, but reading above I understand that there is also a box-generator (now I can see it): was it there in the initial level at all?

Anyway, I made this revised version without destroying the box on the left, so obvisouly that box-generator was not necessary. I didn't use the barrel either.

Great challenge!

I had to think on this a while and I finally got it. I used the cannon to blow the box and start the box generator. Then I had no trouble exiting. It was a fun level. I enjoyed playing it. Thanks, Annie

Loopholes are a good thing. We all solve a tad bit differently. Don't worry that alternate ways or unused items are a bad thing :D Unsolvable...that's a bad thing

I'm still stuck on this one. I didn't do much the way that's intended cuz I have no way to exit LOL! Gonna go back and try again.

Welcome to the editor 8) 8)

What an awesome first level Image

I totally enjoyed the challenge and I definately will play any future levels that you give us. If you build it I will come :D :P :D

Thank you!!!

I must admit I was really stuck on this one but I read all the comments and so I knew what had to be done but I do believe I managed to do it my way. I don't think there's a right way to do this one, a person just has to get in there and go for it.

Was a great frist level Anne, I enjoyed it even though I had many many restarts. Thanks

Hey Cathy! I'll have my fourth level ready next week. So...I'ma building. :D :D :D

Monica, when you have to restart and restart and restart, you either have a Mark level or a first level from a newbie. Thanks so much for hanging in there!

This is an ace first level, I never would have believed that this was your first level  I too had to restart several times, I knew where I wanted to go but getting there was another "think" or two or three ...or a dozen later  Please don't sell yourself short, this was tip top!

Number 4  I have to get busy with 2 and 3 to catch up :D

Great stuff Anne! Finally got this one done. I didn't do it the way it was intended but heck I got it done and had a great time doing it. Love all the moves, so creative.

Now off to #3 Thanks :-)

Anne - I'm so glad you decided to join the ranks of the level makers.
As a first level this is amazing!

I found it very challenging and it took me quite a few tries to work it out.
Don't worry about alternative ways of doing things, or about loopholes. My levels are full of them.

As RSL said above, the important thing is that the level CAN be solved and players have fun.

This meets all the criteria. And the texture is really good too.

Thanks a bunch! :D 8) :D
