Lots of ways to go but only one for me that worked.
I looked at the signs but went ahead and did alot of trail and error to make it out.
I did get burned a couple of times and trapped myself a few also.
some ace puzzling Anne, loved the title and the texture.

Well, this is a real humdinger: I still haven't solved it, but I managed to get the gold in untimed-mode, in a way that took me about half an hour...
I am going to improve it for sure, but just wanted to make sure, Anne, before I continue, that you did take the clock into account.
I have not looked at the hint, and I don't want any hints until I make it within the allotted time - then I can compare what I did with what was intented.

Yay, this time I made it - in just under 2 minutes!!!
Looking back at the "hint", I don't even begin to understand that cryptic thing, but by now who cares?

EDIT: Got the hint - and that's what I did.

Same as Keeks, lots of trial and error.
But the buttons got covered, our hero got all the coins and I had a lot of fun!
