Without any new game previews, this issue has a more retrospective skew to it... hope you enjoy.

Really nice issue Patrick, didn't know that WA was inspired by old games.

Excellent issue Patrick. I had fun reading about the older games that WA was inspired from. I can't wait for the next issue!

Pages 2-3: I can't believe I heard only of Forbidden Forest, despite my deep love for old things.

Page 4: Hold on, so we've passed the 10,000 mark on custom level making already? Gosh, I thought we had around 5,000...
Page 5:
The Empire Strikes Back & Ultimate Bruce Lee: ...meh. High-quality anti-aliased 16777216-color stuff is... not my cup of tea.
Snakoban Dash, on the other hand, looks and sounds AWESOME. I liked it much better when people would actually zoom in and work on dithering rather than use a brush and a gradient and "wahey we're done" (since that kind of technology didn't exist back then). Who knows, I might be the only person on the forum that still dithers manually...

Miss-spelt? I don't really care about that stuff, but just wanted to point that out...

Glad to hear you like the issue (and thanks for the typo Blast). Although I wouldn't call these games "inspirations" for WA, rather I am paying tribute to them with tiny little hidden references. As for the true "inspirations" for our games - that's for another article (was there a game I was playing that made me think "Hey, this could be the next Wonderland game?" - Yes, there was).
