You know, it seems that because of the way this contests goes, level that were submitted were kinda quietly forgotten by others. I mean, there are some excellent levels in there, if they were posted not as part of the competition people would've probably talked about them. But because they went into a competition where you have to wait to know who created the level, people can't talk much about it, and the levels kinda just fade away into the background as people make new levels outside the contest.

So c'mon, was the contest fun for everyone? Were you surprised at the results? I know I was surprised who the actual authors were for a few levels out there, good ones I'd add.

Thanks again to Jersey for running this contest, and thanks everyone for their levels!

As I just told Maureen, I also accidentally tossed out the hand-written notes I'd made too, along with a phone bill, Christmas wish list, two important phone numbers and driving directions Gotta love it when company calls ten minutes before they arrive, and we gotta power clean

Actually, one of my guesses is the most embarassing of all--I guessed "Carolyn" for NURSERYRHYMNS, and she isn't even in the contest! When I sent my guesses to Jersey, I even listed that guess as one of the 6 (not counting my own level) that are "no brainers". Well, I guess "no brainer" was more literal than I intended!

(I first thought "sfseaman", but then saw that he's not in the contest. I got really lost wondering who made this puzzle-only level. I would say Kaboom but I was so dead sure he made BREAKINGOUT. Well, imagine my surprise when I learned that janetgalle made this! She who claims to be not good at making puzzle levels...I think she just disproved herself here.
So I just randomly guessed "jersey")

Had I corrected my "Carolyn" mistake, I would've probably guessed "janetgalle" instead for NURSRYRHYMNS, so my score would probably end up the same anyway.

Looking at my guesses now, it reminds me that my Robbie guess should be disqualified, and so me and Davimad do end up with a tie again. The reason is basically because I know some information beforehand which essentially gives away the fact that Robbie will be using a model in his level. Although I still would've guessed Robbie even if I didn't know beforehand, I think to be fair, that guess should not count.

Here are my guesses:

Wrong ones first.

Davimad= Nursery Rhyme....there were a coulple that I was just not sure of...this was one of them. (I would have guessed Carolyn also, if she had entered)

Jersey= Mystical Town....You have used that chomper on the button trick before.Pretty thin guessing criteria, but this was a "not sure who" level also.

Kaboom!= Breaking Out.....I was positive this was one of his. Positive I tell you!

Right ones. But no credit.....

jg= Guess Who.....I tend to make any kind of "puzzle" level rather symetrical so that I don't lose track of what I am doing...thought this would be the give away.

littlejg= Quick Change.....He actually made this level before sfseaman pointed out the "incredible shrinking Stinky" effect. He laughed and laughed...did you play with the timer on?

Right ones.

Majic1= Unknown Planet.....little green men, funny signs and did you know you use the word YIKES alot?

loof101= Telemaniawonder.....had his name all over it. In more ways than one!

lgrapes= Hot Stuff.........does tend to use that background and likes to hide things in the outer walls and corners.

Destiny5250= scrycnns.....spelling and signs and general feel gave this one away.

Danell1975= Nothing.........the no level title was a big clue

Robbie=Comp2WhoRU......literally signed his name.

LinkynStoof=Strangeworld.....can't beat it, must be LnS or Malc....and Malc didn't play. Still haven't gotten this one, any spoilers (FULL SOLUTION) forthcoming?

Ok, I'll get a full solution out end of this week. btw it might be helpful to look in the level editor if you haven't already. (The way I made the level, you don't have to use the level editor because either you can tell where the "invisible nasties" are by places where you can't push boxes into, or I gave a clue in the level itself. But the level editor's probably easier. )

It was a tough one all right! But it was definitely worth the concussion in the end. (Ted needs to replace the monitor after that level...too many forehead imprints )

Davimad pointed out to me (actually, she had to knock me over the head a couple of time... ) that Janetgalle, not herself that takes the prize. I think LNS hinted something about the points too.

I will be the first person to admit that I should NOT be allowed around numbers (yes, I can see all the heads out there nodding in agreement ) So I shall remove myself as a judge from future competitions, and if I should forget myself and try my hand at running another contest...somebody slap me! The rest of you run far, far away, as fast as your Wonderland feet can go!

Seriously though. I did miscount the scores. After deducting two points for her and littlejg's levels, Janetgalle has a score of 9/12.

Actually 9/12 would be including janetgalle's own level and littlejg's, if I counted correctly. But don't worry, janetgalle's still the winner.

Let's sort this out right now plain and clear. For my count, we will discount our own levels and any levels for which we have an unfair advantage.

janetgalle: unknownplanet, telemaniawonder, hot stuff, scrycnns, nothing, comp2whoru, strangeworld (7/10 = 70%, 2 not counted)

linkynstoof: unknownplanet, telemaniawonder, quickchange, hot stuff, scrycnns, nothing (6/10 = 60%, 2 not counted)

davimad: scrycnns, quickchange, comp2whoru, unknownplanet, strangeworld, telemaniawonder (6/11 = 54.5%, 1 not counted)

Obviously, counting your own level towards the score will not change the outcome, we now get:

janetgalle (8/11 = 72.7%, 1 not counted)
linkynstoof (7/11 = 63.6%, 1 not counted)
davimad (7/12 = 58.3%, all counted)

Finally, if we count the "unfair" ones as well, we get:

So there, no matter how we're counting, janetgalle's the winner.

My broom is out getting a tune-up in preparation for Halloween. And it's been my experience that toads make better prince's than frogs. So set your frogs free and go find some toads.
