This one I didn't complete (though I am sure it's possible).
Hint:
There are some secret boxes in the green gate area to get the other player out of the electro area. The bonus coins are through fake walls or on spikes

Yes it is possible! And after getting smacked in the face by the z-bot, and spiked until he's full of holes, Loof made it out with the gold star!
