Why don't we all do a level for them?

Make it like a chain but pass it round via PM, doesn't spoil the surprise then.

Let's see who's interested, any takers?

You know I would love to do that - not in honor of mine, but all the other November birthdays! It's time we did another chain level anyway - they are always so much fun!! :D

Here is my feeling on chain levels...
Unless the size of the finished board is set at the beginning, these chain levels end up getting way too large and, to me, are not fun to play.
The first chain level we did, started by DiscGolfer in the Classic Forum, was started as a 14x14 level. He used 25 tiles. There were 171 left, about 43 tiles left for four more people. To me, his was the right idea about what a chain level should be.
The finished level is here
http://www.pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic ... 8&start=30
There were 5 contributors, and it ended up being 31 X 31, which was twice the original size. But it worked well with 5 people, and was not out of control.
The object should be a small piece of the complete puzzle by each participant.

That's why I suggested PM's OG.

I'm sure we could put a good sensible sized level together.

Are you in?

We could allow a specific number of tiles for each contributor. That seems to work best, and each person has just one puzzle in their little section.

Great...I'm in!
Majic...you had written some good rules last time, so dust those off and PM them to each participant.

We have now got the rules set & ready to go - it'd be nice to have more than 4 people, and it would be nice to have at least one or more GUYS in here, too! Anyone else interested? - the rules are really extremely simple (no lawyers needed to interpret) and this is LOTS OF FUN; the end result is almost always a total success! :D

Well, I'm a guy, and I'm willing to help out, but I'm still kind of a rookie at level making - mine tend to be easy :)

Up to you folks.

Thanks Roger - this is great! You will only have a small space to fill, so all you will need is one little puzzle - I'm sure your contribution will be fantastic. I will PM out the rules to all shortly; not sure who's going to start it yet, but it should probably be under way by tomorrow. Anyone else who would like to join in along the way is MORE than welcome!!! :D

This seems fun; can I join too??

Great to have you on board Kaboom.

My levels aren't hard either Roger so we'll have a good mix with majic1, ol'gramma, JG and Kaboom. Ours might be a relief to some! HAHAHA

Kaboom, majic1 will send you a PM with the rules and we can take it from there.

This all seems great, but just one question

Who will start the chain level?

by Davimad
I have asked majic1 to start, she is the Queen after all.

Shouldn't be too long until we hear from her, she's up and about I see.

Early morning in Arizona, we are seven hours ahead Kaboom.

I will start it, but I won't be able to get to it until a little later today. I was thinking of tracking its progress in the Gen. Discussion Forum so we can all see where it is - easier than PMing everyone when it's passed on!

I am going to post this topic in the General Discussion forum - it seems more appropriate there and we won't take up any more room on this level!!!!
