Hi, My name is Diana, I am having problems with adding new levels.
I downloaded them to the right place, when I choose, Level exchange, they show up.
When I click on them to play, nothing happens or I get a "Go back" message.
I am using windows 7.
Can anyone help?

Diana

Welcome Diana :D
With Windows 7, Wonderland games work (and sometimes don't) a little bit different. :o

Welcome! Here are a few topics about Windows 7 and Wonderland: Click here for the first, click here for the second, and click here for the third. Also, which Wonderland game are you talking about?

I am playing Return to wonderland. The game works perfectly except for the fact that I cannot get custom levels to play.
As I said before... I know they are in the right directory because they show up on custom level. They just disappear when I click on them ???
Thanks for the links, I checked them out but don,t see anything about my particular prob. My kids have that Pain in the butt video card (nVidia) and cannot play wonderland at all. Hopefully they will fix that soon.

When you say "disappear", do you mean the game stops and an error message in white writing appears in the top left corner of the screen?

No, What happens is .. the name of the game I am clicking on disappears.
I have two downloaded games. once I click on one, I have only one game name showing, If I click on that...No games are visible.
Crazy huh :-)

Thanks for the welcome rainbow seeker :-)
The two games I downloaded were, Mountain1 and Platinum set.
I didn't bother getting anymore once I realized they wouldn't work.

Sorry Rainbow seeker......
I downloaded the zip files, Unzipped them and pasted them into the Return to wonderland custom folder.

Hi Diana, and welcome to the forum. I'm just Marinus (no need to call me a star or so )

Here's a picture how it should look like:
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_zcDJHZze4SQ/TIkdE ... levels.jpg

As you can see the top part is the RTW game and the bottom part Windows Explorer.

In the game, below the "Go back" line there are first 4 subfolders, and then the levels in the mainfolder. In Explorer it's exactly the same.

In the titlebar of Explorer you can see where the folder is, with me: C:\Wonderland\Return To Wonderland\CustomLevels but maybe with you it's C:\Program Files (\Wonderland) \Return To Wonderland\CustomLevels

Just in case you have in the Customlevels folder only subfolders, but no levels, I suggest you download only one level, for example this one: http://pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15085 and place it directly in the CustomLevels folder.

Then please tell me if you can see the level both: In the game AND in Explorer. But if you have only folders, and after you select one you see nothing but the "Go back" line, I guess you have no levels in that folder.

Anyhow, everything should be the same, in the game and in Explorer.

I hope this helps. Please let me know. :)

Hi Marius...... You star you!
The link you gave me was not a level link, Could you please post again?
I will follow your directions and cross my fingers

The first link should be a picture. Did you get that?

The second link however is indeed not a level, but another post on this forum. If you were logged in, you should see the level below the first post, and a "download" button at the right side. Right-click on it and choose Save-as.

Do you see the post and the attached level below it?

Well.... That worked perfectly. I was doing the same with other levels but they didn't work
The folders are visible until they are clicked on..
Maybe I should get you to send me a buncha links to games 'cos you have the magic touch

Do you mean: You can open the one level of the link now?

And the Platinum set; If you double-click on it in Explorer, do you see the levels? In case not, maybe something went wrong with unzipping.

BTW If you want more customlevels; if you click on the picture of Stinky and co, top-left of your Internet-browser, and then on the Puzzle-Action-Levels, there are thousand of levels.

Thank you very much.
I am a bit illiterate when it comes to stuff like this, Not too old to play, but too old to figure out how to fix stuff on the comp

You're welcome. :D

Well, since you told you have kids, they probably can read and write with the computer and tell you anything you need. Otherwise someone else in the neighborhood. If you need more help, you can always ask here on the forum. :)

Hey.
I just figured out why the games I downloaded didn't work.
The link you gave me was to a LEV5 game, I have also loaded LEV games that worked.
The first games I downloaded were LEV6 and none of them worked.
Do you have any idea why LEV6 games won't work?
I have Wonderland returns platinum

Hi Bronze Wonderlander  (it's just about how many posts you made. You made 10 now)

To be honest, I have no idea. If you have the newest Platinum version you should be able to play .LEV , .LV5 , and .LV6 . However, (just got an idea) if you bought the game several years ago, it may be possible that you can't play .LV6 (but I'm not quite sure) If that's true, I think you can upgrade it free; please let me know if you have an old version.

Anyhow, the first LV6 levels you tried to play were in a zip-file isn't it? Did you also try to download one single LV6 level? Just try this one: http://pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21230

The file you linked didn't work either.
I purchased my game a week ago.
Are you a Brit Mr "Isn't it"

Are you opening a shortcut to play the game? Because if you made a shortcut to the deluxe version (within the game's files) instead of the platinum version then you won't be able to play LV6 levels.

Actually I'm Dutch, and I learned English at school, which is probably original (British) English.

To be honest, if Billy Bob's level (LV5) works fine, and Chip's level (LV6) doesn't work, then, right now at the moment I really have no idea, since you said, you purchased the game one week ago. :?

Did you purchase it from Midnight Synergy?

That was it!! Yeah!!
I was opening deluxe by mistake and didn't realize it.
Now all of the games are listed and working.
Thank you so much

Read what I said Marinus. If Dananddiana made and used a shortcut from the deluxe version instead of the platinum version then it all makes sense. :)
