questions-need help on something

1. In the town square, under one of the tents there is a button but what is it for?It's purple but I can't see that it opens anything. Secondly I have found all but one mushroom key. I have all the coins and such in Mushroom Grove except the last one. But I have no more red keys in my bag. I have gone and looked but I have completed all the adventures I can see in that area and I don't see any red keys laying around. Help!
