On this puzzle I have managed to get to the third chamber. Right or wrong I have used all the pressure pads to get there. I can get no further.
Where am I going wrong?

Reach the THRID chamber, then find a way to push the buttons so that all the gates to the star are open.

I don't get it either.
I think i've stared on those buttons for hours, without seeing the solution. Either way I do it, I always end up with the red and blue gate closed.

Legend!
I must have tried every combination on that final chamber except the one that worked.
It's also kinda comforting to know that I was not the only one that suffered a skotoma on this level.

In the final chamber, you don't need to do exhaustive search.
It's essentially a math problem - solve simultaneous liner equations

Or you could just plan ahead and not turn it into a system of equations.
