Here's a short but tricky magic-based adventure. Enjoy.

Oh my goodness, Kooky!
This was incredible!
Thank you so much.

I COMPLETED IT!
Wow, this was brilliant. An excellent exploit-showcasey thing which cleverly made you have to think about which exploits to use (even though there was one instance where there were two exploits which worked just as well as each other).

Absolutely brilliant puzzles!

How in the world are you supposed to get past the ice/zap-bot part?
Also this reliance on bugs is the reason Patrick's a game designer and you people aren't
that was a joke, just so we're clear

Honestly, I solved this level without really using any major glitches.
I am not sure if you'd consider them minor glitches or not, though; they're kind of cheaty.
But they're fascinating, for sure.

Glitches, exploits, whatever. Point is it's not something people are going to think of under regular circumstances.
Also, I still can't figure out the ice. Seriously what is going on here
EDIT: OH SO THAT'S HOW

I'd give you a hint, but I am sure Mynameiskooky would prefer to do the honors.

OK, I've
never seen this ice quirk before, that's brilliant!
It's quite simple, otherwise, just a matter of thinking outside the box and trying various angles (for the shots) that shouldn't work, but do. Nice puzzle!

As a beta tester, this makes me feel kinda bad.

Playing it was kind of fun though. Had the hardest time figuring out the first part, after that I knew what the adventure was about, so not really too difficult anymore.

I found the first part most difficult, too, honestly.
I think I got lucky, though, because the first thing I tried on the second part was to freeze myself; my bubble was in just the right position!
Unfortunately, my
Brr spell wasn't...

Good glory...
I'm...
I think I'm going to go over to an other forum, now...

I CAN'T FIND THE ANGLE :O
Stupid crabs. It's
their fault, after all.

I'd blame Mr. Zurkon; he's always getting us in trouble.
Honestly, I don't know if he's a good guy, a bad guy, a random guy, or even a bunch of different aliens that talk the same and appear in different adventures for no reason.

mr. zurkon is mr. zurkon

Oh!
No wonder I never knew; I never even could have guessed.
Oh, thank you, Sammy.

I kinda thought the crossed-arms sprite made that obvious.
Also, by game designer, I meant "published and successful", i.e. selling games for money.

Thanks for all the feedback, everyone!
On the subject of the "exploit": when I found this bug/trick/whatever, I didn't really consider it a glitch. I suppose what it actually is is sort of subjective. But what matters is that it isn't annoying to perform, unlike some exploits like the "brr pads against walls" thing.

YES! It's
always the crabs' fault! ALWAYS!

No one knows Mr. Zurkon's true motives. Not even me.

Just so we're clear, this is a really clever adventure. Other than the red-button thing in the beginning, I like it.

I like the red button thing. It's a bit frustrating, but really,
really clever at the same time.

by MyNameIsKooky
There's two solutions to the red button area, only one of which was an intended solution.
Doing a somewhat bothersome timing trick with the red button allows you to get past the gate without using Blink, but that wasn't intended at all. The intended solution is quite a bit less frustrating.

by Muzozavr
Oh wait, that means I have no idea how to solve the first part in the intended way...
EDIT: OK, I did it. I like the unintended solution (with the timing trick) better, it's more clever and "legit". The intended way, though, shows an even MORE interesting side of that floing quirk...

Okay, looks like I did it the intended way for a change this time. What's the unintended solution?

You MUST tell me how you got that music.

Lucky-Luc wrote:Okay, looks like I did it the intended way for a change this time. What's the unintended solution?
The unintended solution is stepping on the red circle button then stepping off at the right time. If you do this correctly, you should be able to walk through the red gate as the Spikeyball goes across the button.

Command: 12
Data1: 100
Data3: 100

I like both solutions. I found the unintended one first, but if I hadn't also found the intended one I probably never would have completed the adventure.

Hmm, I found the unintended solution first as well. The intended solution is interesting, but damn I never would've thought of that on my own.

I, uh, what's the intended solution? I'm not too good with quirkstuff because I have to find the quirks first. [/boo]
EDIT: it's okay guys i got it
