So, yes, about those buggy rainbow-drop monsters that I've posted about...

I've decided to make a level showcasing how they work.

It's up to you to figure them out to the full extent.

A few things to note beforehand, though...

1: Logic changing's even stranger in the editor - you must place the gc button after the object you wish to modify.
2: I've not tried ice-float monsters yet, though I'd love to see some of that on a later date...
and, 3: I admit, I've been slacking progress in IWABMO III

Any how, I hope you enjoy this short and baffling showcase of mine. :D

And here is the video solution!

The floor-creating behaviour reminds me of the red-crab-spawned-on-water thing. A very funny logic change, thanks for sharing!

(I wonder if there are other CMDs or CMD datas that could 'fix' it disappearing?)

That was a nice showcase! I have a question though.
The rainbow float, after passing through the player, self-destructs on the tile next to the player. The logic of the tile where the float self-destructs changes back to water logic. Was that how the adventure should have been won?
Also, what logic did you use on the rainbow float?

Alright, I'll try not to.

Also, yes, that is the intended solution for the second part. :D

As for explaining what logic I used...

I used rainbow float logic!
The rainbow float actually isn't a rainbow float - just looks like one.

MNIK definitely deserved 100% credit to my personal finding of the monster.
If you remember...
was it The End 3 or The End 4? :?
Not sure.
Any how, MNIK tought me all I know about creatures like this.
And all via two pm's! He(I think) is a good teacher. :D

Ah, smart! You used Spikeyballs with a CMD 4 that changed the logic of those creatures to that of a Rainbow Float!
I always thought that once the Spikeyball had its logic changed to an immobile object it would stop moving. Strange...

I always wondered how the spikeyball in the End 3 chased me to the moss button...

The video solution is now linked to the first post of this page. :D

It's so near useless, but I figured I'd post it anyways.

Interesting adventure! Thanks for sharing. :D

It seems that all objects have some "movement logic" property that is preserved even between logic swaps. For instance, changing a Spikeyball's logic as it is moving will have the new object continue moving in a similar fashion to the Spikeyball, as seen in this adventure and some of The Ends.

Another notable example is the Chomper. With Chompers, they seem to constantly be getting some command to head to the player's position. If you change a Chomper's logic, the object with the new logic where continue heading to where the player WAS right before the Chomper's logic got changed. This was showcased in one of The Ends.

Aw, thanks! I've never considered myself to be good at explaining concepts.

Did you say chompers, too?

...

Now to remember what it was I wanted to add with chomper logic... :?

I've got to add this thing!

I wonder how something with coily logic would act... :|
I've modelswapped them before ... for some secret project ... but I never actually successfully changed their logic yet. :|
