It's been AGES since there has been a new news article, or any sign of a new game. What's going on? Have they gone out of business? Is Patrick dead? I am REALLY worried right now.....

As you may know, Patrick has been (most likely) very busy while in the development of POTZ. It took him almost five years to finish it. Patrick isn't dead, and I don't think anything happened with Midnight Synergy. If anything, he will most likely announce it, so I suggest we just need to be patient.

I know he's alive, so don't worry. After all these years of making WA trilogy he deserves a break.

Oh wow, 5 years is a long time, it didn't seem like it took that long! I guess until we hear something from Patrick I'll way just like everyone else.

Yeah, Patrick HAS earned a well-earned break... Five years for the grand finale of the WA Trilogy.
Might I just say... thank you for everything, Patrick/MS!

Wait. it's wait. not way.
Anyways, I hope Patrick (not Patrick me.) makes another game after taking a break.

Patrick (Midnight Synergy) is not dead, he's busy with his life, but I can assure you that there's going to be three new Wonderland projects!
Currently one of the them has been released, but the two others are yet to be authorized.
Here's the source:

I have made a proposal regarding point 1 of project 2, about revamping the current level system and the forum. I have not heard back from Patrick so no real work has been done, but it is indeed something I would like to make.

If he is so busy why did't he hir any people to do the work for him?
So it won't be so hard for him.

Because this is a side job for him. He has an actual job that provides living income. He doesn't have the time or resources to run a full-time company like that.

I answered you many times previously. First, hiring people is not as easy as you think, you need to find good people who are ready to work full-time on your games. I would like to point out that in order to specifically hire (not just pay commissions), Patrick has to pay those people a full salary. If his games sold hundreds of thousands and generated a lot of money, then that wouldn't be a problem, but that isn't the case here. As Q stated, it is likely that this is a side job for MS. It
could have been a full-time job previously (when making games took max a year), but considering the development of POTZ took nearly five years, it's safe to assume that he is most likely busy with other things as well (at least as of now)
