The ghosts are a really impressive species in my vision of Wonderland. Yes, they already have left us once, but there is even more:
They're utterly immortal! They've always a backup of themselves ready that takes over if... Well, if something unforeseen happens.
The new ghost who appears when the old one hits the keg is the reincarnation of our kind fellow. So never fear: You didn't kill him.
Quite the contrary! Did you notice that his complexion looks much sounder now? This outfit will last for another few centuries...
