The Mechanism Maker

In Return to Wonderland, I'm quite good at making lots of little contraptions that generally make people's lives easier. By that I mean creating complex systems that were only properly added in Wonderland Adventures.
...clear as mud? Perhaps an example will help.
Toggle buttons (diamond shaped) didn't appear until Wonderland Adventures. However, it's quite simple to make one of these in RTW using the built-in editor components:

Code: Select all

 - -
 # + O #
 - - - -
(A - is a wall, # is a teleporter, a + is a box and O is a round button.)
Walking in the top will allow to to move the box and toggle whether it is on the button or not, without being able to steal the box for later in the level. Of course, this is a very simple example.

I plan for people to be able to use this as a place for people to post handy things they make, for other people to use. And if you can't quite figure out how to do something, you can ask us if we have any ideas.
Of course, this isn't strictly a level. Perhaps I should've posted somewhere else.

Here is a self-reset device. If you mess up, you would normally have to restart, but here, you can push the red boulder upwards in order to reset the level so you can have another go!
Of course this isn't much use right at the start of a level; a better use would be to put it at a difficult part at the end of a level so that you don't need to restart the whole level, just the bit at the end.
I've done some testing, and although it is possible to use it to kill Stinky, it is not possible to mess up the machine so that it cannot reset properly. (I think.)

First, the file, "CLOUDRAC3R005.LV6"overwrote one of your earlier levels.

Second, the machine can be broken. push one boulder down then the other right, then the remaining boulder up, so it lands below the TP and is stuck there.

Thanks for looking at that level, Amnon.
It does in fact have the same name as Table Tennis. Whoops.
I move all my levels to an archive folder once I'm done with them, so that I can easily see the ones which I need to play. Sadly I did not check it, and so I thought it was 5, not 6.
As for the other problem, I was actually in the middle of designing a smaller, faster version, and I don't think it has that problem. Thank you again for telling me about these issues!
