please has anyone played wonderland games on windows 11 as i cannot play my beloved games since i had to replace my computer for a new one with the windows 11 everytime i go to play it says memeory access violation and just goes off, i am a disbled old lady that plays the games almost all the time as i cant get out much so i am devastated to be unable to play them, so if anyone plays them please let me know and maybe how you are able to, thanks,

1. google "DirectPlay activate windows 11 tutorial"
2. try to update graphics card drivers, right click on computer, press properties, find device manager, find video adapter or gpu adapter right click and press update driver, and press automatically find driver
3. try compatibility options, right click on wg.exe properties, compatibility and set OS to windows xp or 7
999. as a last chance, downgrade to win 8.1 or 10, if nothing works you can downgrade to 8.1 or 10 as they are still supported by microsoft and receive updates


ps: can you tell me your computer hardware? gpu cpu ram and more

no i am sorry to say, i done what u said but the box with direct play was already checked and there was no updates to do, but its funny as i can play mysteries of fire island but not the other wonderland games. i have put pic in so u can see if its ok its a HP laptop

you say you can play MOFI but not WA1 and POTZ?

Try to open the Wonderland executable instead of wg.exe and try different resolution

You can also try to copy the display.wdf file in C:/Users/(yourusername)/AppData/Local/Midnight Synergy/WA MOFI/Player Profiles

or somewhere in those folders

and place that display.wdf in the same directory but instead WA MOFI, WA POTZ

Can you send me an image of your WA1 or MOFI or any of them directories? The game installation directory?

Also what distribution of the game are you using? The midnight synergy versions or bigfishgames or other?

I have all my games from midnight synergy and i am trying to do what you said, so thanks so much x

and yes i played POTZ all the way to the end with no trouble at all

no I don`t have discord, and can play all games for a few min then it just goes to box with memory access violation, but with WFI it will play all the way through, and thanks so much for your help but i will have to just play WMFI.
If i thought it will work ok i would buy them all again but i am afraid to spend that amount of money and i still cant play. so thanks again x

I am sorry i dont know how to video it, but i thought it was ok yesterday as i was looking for a way to video game i went into Xbox to try to record and signed up for free. but i still couldnt video it, so i came out of Xbox and went to play fire island but my mistake i went into zed bots and it started playing and i played for about 15 mins saving my game every 5mins or so i was so pleased then the save box which shows what you have saved went black so i did save it then logged off and went straight back in and when i went to play saved game it was all gone so i was back to start of game, I hope i am making sense to you so you understand, thanks again for all your help x

im not sure ive seen such issue of game breaking after some time of playing


you can download OBS, free software for recording and streaming, after you download it hit start recording and play the game until the bug happens then save the recording and upload to youtube

thanks for all your help, but i am an old lady and not computer wise i have tried a few times to try to video and upload it but its not been successful so, i am giving up on it. i still have fire island to play but not return to wonderland or the others. so thanks again for you help x

I am sorry that you have to face such issues, unfortunately the Wonderland games are very old and so there can be certain issues in running these games on latest computer.

Here's my suggestion, hope it works!

Use: Go to MS\x86 folder and copy DDraw.dll and D3DImm.dll into main folders of your Wonderland games.\

Check if they work, if they don't then please report here.

Do the games always crash at a certain spot, or is it just completely random? If it's consistent, then there may be a way to correct it.

Does your computer have any antivirus software running on it? If so, you may need to exclude the game installation directories from being scanned. In my case, Malwarebytes has an "Allow List". It might be worth it to scan your computer for viruses while you're at it.

Other than that I have no idea what could be causing this other than maybe corrupted files, bad Windows installation, or RAM going bad..

thank you but its not my antivirus, and it is random but i have been playing POZB ok till i get to the game where i go to talk to the council and as soon as i go there my game lags so bad but when i leave there the game is ok again, i still cant play return to wonderland and thats the game i love.

Have you tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling the games?
If not, try with Wonderland and Return to Wonderland first and report back.
If either game directory has a "players" folder, be sure to back this up beforehand.

i uninstalled return to wonderland then reinstalled it, i was able to play for about 15 mins then it went off with memory access violation, i cant uninstall fire island or planets of the zed bots as i am afraid i will lose them, when i had this new computer i asked Midnight synergy if they would send me the 2 games as they have done in the past but they didnt reply, and i know i had the right e-mail for them, i also asked them to send me a link for the bad lag in POZB but still no reply, so thanks for all the help from you guys but i will leave it at that.
