With all that said, there have been cases of forum accounts getting hacked this year and having their profile info changed and spamming links to websites with themes that I've mentioned above. This is a friendly reminder to not use the same password for every website and also to rotate your passwords every once in a while. If you need help keeping track of all your passwords, use a password manager like KeePass. Make them long and hard to guess, or have them randomly generated if your password manager has that option. Also remember to enable 2FA/Passkeys/whatever new technology they keep coming up with if the website supports it.

A user has reported receiving an email stating that their account has been broken into and that they were being blackmailed.
If this happens to you, please change your password immediately and provide a Global Moderator with info on the situation.

At the time of writing, the forum does not have any 2FA support, but migration to a different forum software is in the works.

My last post was more of a notice for users to be on the lookout for any concerning or fishy emails, but if you haven't changed your password in a very long time (or if you know that your account has been hacked) then yes I suggest you do so.
