Thank you Janet.
I must admit that I have been missing a lot of the Custom stuff because I have been unable to always do it the right way.

EDIT- AAAAAARRRGGGHHHH!!! I still can't get it right
There's a beautiful grey column in the upper left hand corner. Is that the Model?
I really am an idiot. I've read the manual, Popo has walked me through it, and now I've followed your most excellent advice.
Is this how people feel when they don't get my levels?

I would have to say yes.

I wish I knew what is going wrong on your end. You say you get some of the Models, but not all? That could be the double folder problem.

Hey JG - do you remember last year when you emailed me all this stuff (or something similar). You put in so much work for me and finally the  came on!

Just wanted to say thanks again - and well done for trying to help everyone else out - it's a lot of work for you girlie - you are really kind

I hear the school bus engines starting up. It's time to go home. I will play around some more at home tonight, and get back on-line tomorrow.

Not too hard, just made a model, made a level and took "pictures" along the way. Then stuck it all together.
Now as I re-read it I see all the spelling errors and missed words ( ) that wouldn't be there if I had taken a bit more time.

I hope it can help some people out.

I knew that you liked to teach! Thanks for all your efforts!

Question - at the "download file" step, I have been clicking on "open" rather than "save". Windows unzip comes up. Then it allows you to browse to find the destination folder, such as the model folder. Then you unzip directly into that folder. Is it better to save first and then unzip, or is it OK to open first then unzip?

You can do it either way. Saving it directly to the CustomModels folder and unzipping it there, just saves an extra step. And it sometimes seems to clear up the double folder problem.

I got it!
I was trying to get the models and houses in Cat's Wonderpets level to work when I noticed that the pets were on the houses, but pillars everywhere else. I looked back at the folders and there were thumbnails on the outside of the houses folder, but not on the model folder.
Hmmm.... I wonder if this is what they meant by having two folders. I looked back at the excellent advice above and it all clicked. DOUBLE FOLDERS!!! Now I can see everything... I am not an idiot!

Way to go DG!

I don't want to confuse you any further, but CustomHouse folders always have a thumbnail on them, CustomModel folders may or may not have a thumbnail, depending on what kind of Model it is....oh nevermind.....try some others and see if you can get them to work too!

Not true, Janet. If the user has decided to view their folders within Explorer as 'icons', 'tiles', 'lists' or 'details', they will not see pictures on the folder. This only happens when the user chooses to view their folders as 'thumbnails'.

Just thought I'd clear this up as your comment could cause confusion. :) :)

No problem.
It was/is my intention to make a new one for downloading Custom stuff, and one for uploading Custom stuff. Just haven't had the time.
Soon tho....maybe this weekend if the weather stays as crappy as it has been, but if it is nice..... I am headed for the Lake!
