Chain Level I- Part 1

Here is the beginning of a new concept in Wonderland Level design-
The Chain Level
This is intended for BIGZIPZ to continue, but I guess anybody could do it for fun, or uploading, or whatever.
The idea is to keep each "Part" small, and to try not to monopolize the non-renewable resources (switches, teleporters, gates).
I only used one teleporter combo (red). The idea is to work out a level that someone can pick up and continue.
I suggested to BIGZIPZ that he pass "Part2" on to eeyore31, and then to majic1 as they showed interest in this idea in another post under the "General Discussion" area.
Anybody else want to add on to it???
Don't worry "Old Bear" you'll get to play, and contribute if you like.
Here's "Part 1"

Here is part 2, I figure we may have to do a couple of parts each, but who knows!

You Idjit!
You have violated the spirit of the "Chain" and rendered my level useless

I smell feet.
Oh, it smells worse than feet.
I don't mind the note, but those spikes ruined the whole teleporter trick. Is it even playable, or is this merely an attempt to have a joke at my expense?
Crikeys! I hope it's all a terrible dream...
surely he's just messing around... I'm sure he'll have somehting else up in the morning...
AND.... Now, if anybody downloads your part of the chain they lose mine unless thay know to change the file name. That's really rude. I am devestated.
EDIT- I have utilized my technological skills to change my ".lev" name so there is no downloading conflict. I have also contacted the my attorneys with Linky, Stoof, and Associates. See you in court Mr. ZIPZ

Im massively confused, when I read this thread it didnt say you couldnt edit parts of the level. I just thought, how can we be certain what bits to add to a level, when we dont know each others intentions as to puzzles etc?

Hey eeyore31
Let me know what you think of Part 2
I have a feeling BIGZIPZ sleeping it off in a Leeds alleyway.

now im even more confused, I thought this was one level that we all added to? why would I change the filename? isnt the idea to overright part 1 with part 1 + 2, then override part 2 with 1 + 2 + 3?

I had a feeling there was some sort of miscommunication. I hope you know I'm just having fun.
My vision was for you to just pick up where I left off after you grab the coin in my section. That would be my terminus and your beginning.
As long as the additions don't disrupt the integrity of the previous contributors it's no problem. Adding the box for the cannon to blow up was OK, but the spikes disrupt the teleporter part...
uhhh....
wait a minute...
maybe not if you push the box at the right time...
hmmm....
maybe I overreacted....
better go back and try again.....
man, am I going to have to edit a bunch of posts now.....
I better go find out if it still works.....

Can we start again?

Yes!
My part involves pushing all three boxes in the correct order through the red teleporter so that Stinky can grab the coin, and embark on the next section..
Is it still possible to do that after your additions? I kept going into the water or spikes. I tried when the spikes were up but I couldn't get the timing right.
And.... I really do like that note
The level name thing- If we name them differently, but in some kind of logical progression, people will be able to play the "Chain" in all of it's stages.
Maybe we should have talked this over a bit more...

My contribution, Sir, shall be to play the level and offer either a group congratulations or a severe thumbs down to you all.

Or married to each other... by the sounds of it.

ok you guys.......I couldn't wait 'til morning.....majic1, while these two argue, would you honor us by picking it up from here????
I think so far it's going good, I didn't really get all the bonus coins at the beginning but that's normal for me

I have a feeling you'll be getting something else to work with eeyore31.
Would somebody (Bearsland?) please play and comment on the first section I put up. I keep getting this feeling that somehow I goofed on it's design and this is the reason for all of the confusion. The space below the coin was changed to water on ZIPZ and eeyore31's versions. Is is intended to be "space"- un-bridgeable
I have never laughed so hard, for so long, as I have on this thread.
They coming to take me away, ha ha!

OK, there was nothing wrong with what you did; getting the coin
can be done by getting the boxes through the teleporter, (and some fancy footwork). This is, I assume, the method you intended.
Bigzipz additions have unfortunately taken the teleporter out
completely. It no longer has any purpose. The first part with Mark's additions can be done without the teleporter being used at all. ie. 2 metal boxes make a bridge to the coin; wooden box makes a bridge to the spikes.
If I spot any more bits, I'll keep you guys posted.

Maybe eeyore31, majic1, malc, olgramma, carolyn, Robbie, jg. littlejg, or anyone would care to pick up from where I left off with Part 1.
The idea was for one person to make a section, and for the others who follow to add their own sections. No additons, deletions, edits, etc. This way the player would go thru sections designed by several of the talented RTW enthusiasist all in one level.
I should have explained this in greater detail. The idea of my section was to get the boxes through the teleporter making a bridge so that the coin could be grabbed and Stinky could go off to the next section. Then he enters the part created by the next person. They leave Stinky at a point where someone else can easily take over. It is very important for each designer know what the previous person had in mind for that section to avoid confusion.
Confusion? I'm glad that's something that doesn't happen here
So.... Who would like to carry on from my part, and who will get it after that, and on and on?
If there is not a reply to this I will let this idea die a slow painful death
