Ok, Ok. Help!

I can get past the cannons and I can even get the UFOs to blow up the wooden boxes to get the bonus coins. But to do that, I have to use one of my three shield boxes as a guide which makes it unuseable for getting back to the top. I can't get back to the gate.

I've tried just running, but that didn't work. And I can't get the boxes to shield me when there are only two of them.

Am I missing something? Hints? Anyone?

I got it quite a while ago. But all you nice wonderlanders keep PMing me with the soultion, so thanks to all those who were kind enough to send a solution.
