Peegalf finds the way.
This is a small and pretty easy level, exploiting the magic box syndrome again!

Really magical, Liz

Had a lot of fun and it's nice to play an easier one (still fighting with #16

)

This was a great one Liz. Have to start over a couple of times, but I did it.
Just like Lutz I am still fighting with some other ones, but I don't give up.
More like that one please

The Coin Quest levels are just wonderful! Incredible!
I am late doing my work since I started playing them...! I just can't stop!
Now I am stuck with Coin Quest 17. I don't see any magic boxes! Am I doing something wrong?
I didn't notice magic boxes in Coin Quest 06 either. I just played it normally.
Can anyone tell me how I am supposed to get out of the pink barrier?
I push the wooden box to the right into the water. I get the coin and the bonus coin on the pink switch. I push the boulder onto the pink switch. Now I am lacking a box for bridging the water in front of the now open pink barrier.
Where should there be a magic box?
Thank you for your help!
(And many, many more thank-yous for this great series!)

Hi Maddoc
I just went back to replay Coin Quest 17, and I'm horrified to say that the magic box syndrome does not work any more!
Before the Platinum upgrade, if you pushed a box into the water, an invisible box would appear at the left hand side (depending on certain conditions). So when you push the box to the right in this level, an invisible box would appear above the left hand water and you could push it in.
It doesn't work for me any more! Patrick must have fixed this glitch. I will PM him and see what he says.
I've noticed a couple of other people's old levels, which I could do before, will now no longer work.
I'll get back to you about this Maddoc. Sorry for any confusion.

Liz,
thank you for your quick response.
I am determined to reinstall RTW Deluxe if necessary just to play every level you made...!
Greetings!

Maddoc, if you are familiar with explorer, it's possible that it's still there. in the "return to Wonderland Deluxe" folder, there are a bunch of different exe files. One is wdlgame.exe and one is wdlgamep.exe the one with the P is Platinum. the other is the old version. When you run the platinum upgrade, it switches your shortcut to the new one with the P. If you want to play Liz's level, try opening the folder and double clicking directly on the wdlgame.exe
No reinstalling needed, I think.

Thank you so much Loirae - this does work.
You need to go into My Computer\Disk C\Return to Wonderland Deluxe\wdlgame.exe Double click on the
wdlgame.exe and the old game will start up, then you load whatever level you want and the magic box glitch will work.

You know, I was wondering about that. I downloaded all your older levels, and I didn't understand the sign in Coin Quest #6, either, about the magic boxes; just chalked it up to part of the series. With #17, I had solved it before Platinum, so it wasn't an issue.
I just want to say Liz, that you are a fantastic level creator. I have enjoyed working through your levels. I hope you never bore of creating levels!
Thanks!

Yeah! It worked! And I did it!
Again: These levels are sooo great!
How can one imagine a level like this, so beautifully designed and so seamlessly embedding into the story what other people would just call a bug...
Thank you Liz!
And thank you Loirae!
I now have a link to
wdlgame.exe back on my desktop. A link to
Deluxe.exe lets me even switch resolutions for the old deluxe version. Very fine!
Magic boxes, appear!
Greetings!

I followed your instructions for the Platinum edition
And it worked like a charm!

You restored the magical boxes to Wonderland again!
Thank you for this fun outing, Liz!

I'd forgotten I posted how to overcome the Platinum Edition problem!
Obviously a senior moment.
