RTW Platinum 3.01 Update

Hi folks,

just a minor update for the Platinum Edition at http://www.midnightsynergy.com/returnto ... update.htm

Some folks had difficulties installing customtextures in some of the lv6 levels. This new version will - rather than aborting the game - replace any "not found" custom textures or backgrounds with a default (wood and stars).

If you don't have any difficulties with custom textures, you don't need to download this update.

I have downloaded the patch but find I still have to abort the game because it can't find the textures. I extracted my files into c:/Return to Wonderland Deluxe. Am I doing something wrong?

Yes I do have the plantium addition so maybe I'm extracting in the wrong place?

Thanks for any help as this is a frustrating problem at times!!

Do you have the Platinum Upgrade in the "Deluxe" directory, or in a different directory?

(does your menu screen now say "3.01" in the top right corner?)

I put the plantium upgrade into the deluxe directory. My version does say v3.01.

But I don't mind trying it again though I'm pretty sure I extracted the plantium directly into c:/Return to Wonderland Deluxe.

The default is S:Wood B:Sky, isn't it?

hye,,, when I downloaded LOOFFINDWE.LV6 and didn't unzip the texture and background in the right place, I saw Wood and Stars, although the default is Wood and Sky!!!

Patrick, I assume this applies to the Platinum version also ? As it is version 3.01 and I did get the ERROR when the texture did not exist.
