Since I tested this, a few of the surprises were moved around - wouldn't it be nice to have levels that change a bit every time you play them?

In any case, the level has not changed in essence and is great fun!

HOLY HYPERION!

Chip, this is a miniature masterpiece! 8)
The concept is wonderfully ingenious! :D
The puzzles just blew my mind away! :o
You crafted this so meticulously...
I can't fathom another way.

Thanks again! :)

Hi Anne
Thanks for your reply. :D
There are two ways to finish the level:
A very risky one (probably the way you did it) and a puzzling one.
Can you find the other solution too? :)

I gave that Shrike a taste of plasma...
Was that the risky or the puzzling one?

Hi Mark
That was puzzling. Risky is:
1. Take a deep breath...
2. ...plunge in...
3. ...and pray for England.
But this method is really not everybody's first choice.

YIKES! Was this how Anne did it? :o
That's gotta be the SCARIEST way I've every seen!
Loof cried before uttering his signature victory giggle.

Hi Mark

Yes, it's possible to win and to die at the same time.
This is a humble tribute to Dan Simmons' first chapter of the novel about Father Paul Duré - the scariest tale I've ever read.

But I hope most of the players will prefer the puzzling way.
It's more challenging, more fun and the nasty Shrike...

...I'm sure they will figure it out on their own. :)

I actually did manage this one all on my own! :D :D
Though The Nasty Shrike caused me several restarts

Marvellous from start to finish Chip. The whole generator set-up was so clever.

Thanks!

Your ghost took me out the first time then I decided there had to be a way to rid myself of him...and there was. :D

Fun one Chip, very clever, thanks!

And here I thought you dreamed up the Hyperion Universe.
Well, I'm afraid I haven't been keeping up with the Classics.

Hi Mark
The book cover shows exactly the locations I used for the level:
In the background you can see the trees of the Flame Forest.
In the centre the pilgrims pass the Sea Of Grass in their vessel.
And in the foreground there's a certain coeval guarding the Time Tombs.
Thanks for excavating the picture. :D
