New Game-Clik Da Fruut

Post by Nobody » Thu Dec 31, 2009 5:01 am

A game made following the tutorial with some extra rooms if you press left. Avoid bombs, click fruit, just like in the tutorial game (I wonder why...?). F1 for help.

PRESS THE LINK.

Link.

Insignificant link to some other place.

Yes, I discovered that webpage by accident...

Any comments on the not-included-in-tutorial alternate rooms?

Cool! But I didn't even glance at the tutorial because I already was experienced at Game Maker from all that Boxinator work, so I don't know what's new.

All the rooms except for the first one are new. Also, the behaviors of cherries and strawberries were left up to the user in the tutorial.

Well, the design was cool. You could have added more objects to spice it up to make it evil or something. But it was still fun getting those fruits and watching the bombs fill up the screen.

Maybe I'll make a version with evil things if I feel like it.

I need help with another game I'm making. Is there some way to make an object have the same x position as the mouse? Otherwise, I might work on something else.

Yes. Create a step event for the object you want to stay in the same x as the mouse and go to the "control" tab and put in "Execute Code". In the coding box put in:

*NAME OF OBJECT*.x = mouse_x

Glad it worked.

To center objects more, you should change mouse_x to:

mouse_x+32

This may vary depending on the object's scale and origin.
