Ooh these are tricky ones.

1. If it starts with e and ends with e and has only one letter, then it must be E. I don't think that is the answer, but I can't think of anything else.......Yes, it's just come to me. Envelope. Tada.

2. I think it might be the moon, as we get a new one every 4 weeks, but I'm not sure it's been around as long as earth or will last as long as, or longer than, the earth. So I'm probably wrong.

3. I keep thinking about hot air balloons, and the flame that lifts them up. Probably on the wrong track completely here.

6. I am being a bit morbid here, but I think it might be a coffin.

The answer to mine IS an umbrella. Mette and the cat got it right.

You can push an umbrella up a chimney when it's down (shut), but you can't pull one down a chimney when it's up (open). With or without Mary Poppins.

I'm searching the remote corners of my mind for more usless info for another quiz level.

But I found some riddles I couldn't use and decided to post them to see if anyone could solve them.
