I have two Questions

Post by mqdar » Mon Jan 01, 2007 12:51 am

My first question is: What programs do you use to create textures and models that are complex?
My second question is: In the texture folders, why do you get wallside1,2, and 3, and
wallside1a and 1b?

I know nothing about making models, so I can't help you with that.

For textures I use Adobe Photoshop. A texture folder must have 13 jpg's:
floor1.jpg (normal and X-floor)
floor2.jpg (B floor)
floor3.jpg (C floor)
floor4. jpg (D floor)
sign.jpg (sign tile)
break.jpg (bridge tile)
walltop.jpg (walltops)
wallside1a.jpg (normal wall)
wallside1b.jpg (normal wall - another side)
wallside2a.jpg (deep wall)
wallside2b.jpg (deep wall - another side)
wallside3a.jpg (fake wall)
wallside3b. jpg (fake wall - another side)

I hope this answers your texture questions :)

I (still) use Milkshape to make models.
Some others use AC3D.

For textures I use Paint Shop Pro.

For models I use Wings3D. It's free and quite good.
