Brick Buster level1

Post by Erwin042 » Sun Feb 25, 2007 1:36 am

Well, figured it out myself.
collect gems in order to make the way free for the spikeballs destroying the boxes.
To move to next column, collect gems until the rout is leading to new boxes.
Once 1 row of gems is clear, you have to destroy a spikeball.
The last one must destroy the boxes left.
I'm now restarting, cos I used a token for playing the second level.I thought to use a token every time I had to play again! After using this token a new star appeared on the floor. That's the entrance to the 2nd level!
2nd level is with buttons and gates
. O man! this arcade game hasn't ended yet.

Did you ever get level two done? I'm STUCK. I keep thinking I should narrow it down to one side and figure where they need to go just to complete one side. Then I could just run back and forth and make them do the same thing. Well HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I can't figure out a dang thing LOL

Brick Buster Level 2

Post by Erwin042 » Mon Mar 05, 2007 2:21 pm

Collect the 1 green gems below the yellow buttons first on the left or the right. Then move to the green button. Then collect the other green gem below the yellow buton. Be very quick. Don't collect any other gem yet.
When the spikes blast 2 cubes you must be on the move otherwise you wanted succeed

I'm replaying the level for you. i'll come again when I got more!

And I'm back!

Then collect the gems in front of the cubes. All of them. Don't open the yellow gates. After that you can rest. The spikes will not explode. Now you've got time to think what to do next.

The next moves will be in a spoiler!!

Ok finally got Brick Buster level 3 figured out. WHEW just a hint. You need both spikey balls until the last row. The center row will be the last row one of them gets.

You mean level 2 don't you? There are tons of spikey balls in level 3, you just need to keep out of there way while they do their thing. I did 3 but can't get 2.

SPOILER FOR BRICK BUSTER level1

Post by Erwin042 » Fri Mar 30, 2007 4:41 pm

If anyone still has problems with this first level, I gathered some hints ragarding this level and put them in a spoiler.

collect gems in order to make the way free for the spikeballs destroying the boxes.
To move to next column, collect gems until the rout is leading to new boxes.
Once 1 row of gems is clear, you have to destroy a spikeball.
The last one must destroy the boxes left.

The first hint (sentence if you like) doesn't reveal much on which gems to collect first.

I'll give you a screenshot later and explain how 1 spike can destroy 1 column of blocks.

here is the screenshot! [SPOILER]

Because Bettylou needed more help for this level, I write this SPOILER.
Therefore I'll want to update my solution on Mette's site with this text too.
Maybe others players may benefit from it too.
Bettylou,

Thanks for letting me know you had trouble with this level and my solution wasn't that detailed as you wanted it. After reading your post, I needed to change/add the text on the second picture: explaining why you need to guide the spikes like I wrote. And therefore to reach the goal: collecting all gems (you get more points for) before all blocks are destroyed by the spikes.

But first I write the explication for you.
It's in a spoiler cos it's more part of my solution.

Explication for this picture:
The spikes runs like the first yellow arrow.
The gems (in the red circle and where I stand) are in the path of the spikes. You must collect these first.
Or the first spike hits the first keg.
Then you have to pick up the other pink gem and green gem (pink circle).
If you do it in this order, you have followed the yellow arrow.
That makes a clear path too for the spikes.
But you need to pick up the yellow gem.
If you don't do this, the spike will end up in the second keg.
For you're own safetly (cos otherwise you can forget to collect them) pick up every other gem that
is in front of the blocks.

You can wait now to see how the spikes will go.
They come from above, hit the red gem, turn left and hit the yellow gem, then turn and go on to the blocks.

Now it's your mission to make the way free for the spikes, so they can destroy the blocks.
But you can make more points to collect all gems.
So before the last block is destroyed, you have to work a way out to collect also all gems.
Bettylou,

When you've finished this level. And it's because I helped you out with this text, please reply then. Then it's time to send this new part to Mette.
Then I know it's correct explained.

apologies

Post by bettylou » Sat Mar 31, 2007 4:53 pm

I'm sorry Erwin, you have tried and tried so hard to explain this to me, and I understand what you are saying on how to accomplish the task of saving spikey balls, blow up all bricks, save all gems to earn star. I just am not able to do what needs to be done. This one and Wonder. Adv. Level 1 (and probably 2 & 3 also) are beyond my abilities. I quit. There is no use frustrating myself with these arcade games. The ones I CAN do were fun, but these 2 will drive me to my grave....not worth it. Maybe there is some way I can email my save (after I go now to do the Pyramid and Void) and someone do them for me. I WAS have such fun, but that's it, over, done with for me. Oh well, on to something else.
Love, bettylou

I tried that oobeedoobee, but the 'cheat' does not seem to work on the arcade games. Did it work for you?

you press the number and then very quickly the touch control f..... however don't use the number pad when you press the first number.(I don't want to spill the cheat code and I still have to learn how to make a decent spoiler).

I returned and it worked fine

Post by bettylou » Wed Apr 04, 2007 2:42 pm

I returned to the arcade levels and used the cheat with the ones I could not succeed at and I finished the pyramid, did it without a cheat, but checking my tokens in inventory bag one seems to be missing, I remember using it on one of the arcade machines and it simply disappeared, no star on floor. Also I am short one star (have tried replaying several puzzles and been one end of all areas to another and cannot find it. So I decided to start all over again at the beginning, why not? I enjoyed so much of this offering why not play it again with a calmer frame of mind and more patience since I now know what to expect? It is fun, I am checking off each and every star I earn and will do same with all the tokens, may have missed one somehow. Will see you all around from time to time and thanks for your help, especially erwin, you have been so patient with me.
