A nightmare with a funny happy end

Post by Muzozavr » Fri Apr 27, 2007 6:15 am

Did you have a scary dream with a funny happy end? I had it just now. It would be a good story. 8)
Note: The door in this dream opens inside.
I don't know why or how I got in that house, only remember it wasn't mine but it was completely normal. I was walking in a hall, when suddenly, I saw a door forcibly opened with someone behind the door saying something that (very roughly) sounded like "ub". (U like in umbrella, b like in bacon) But when I came there, nobody was there!!! There was no other door, the window was too high, and I saw nobody running in the hall.
I was shocked. One thing if such scary mysteries appear in a game (like Inward Hellix) and another if it happens in reality, or in this case, a dream. But in the dream I of course thought it was real.
I was afraid to come there, but I was even more afraid to run away.
Then I went in and closed the door, and heard something like "uuuuuu" with a very slight laughter. But instead of seeing someone hiding behind a door, I saw only a block of wood (which was always there).
Is this block now a ghost?
After several more tries of finding who made those sounds (and again hearing something indistinguishable) I was frightened to the end.
Suddenly, something clicked in my head and I started to close the door again till I heard the sound and then slowly and very slightly started pulling the door in either direction.
The mystery was solved. The sound now was endless, but would stop the very moment I stop the door.
It turned out to be a rusty hinge, which made all those sounds. And the invisible one who opened the door was... draught. Yes, it was everything in this tiny mistery.
I can't tell you how hard I was laughing then (in the dream, of course). It was a relief. Guess I played TOO MUCH Inward Hellix.

Did YOU have a nightmare with a funny happy end? If so, please tell here.
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

I was bored, so, since I like the story, I translated it into Hebrew.
