Cool! I think with a little bit of tweaking it could work well in a real level, especially by shrinking the size of the balloon. Also neat would be either a way to color the balloon in the Wonderland rainbow style, or better yet, skin it so it can be customized.
If you don't mind I think it'll try my hand at doing the above adjustments and post the results.
[edit: oops, in my excitement I didn't even realize you haven't posted the model itself yet. Well in that case, do whatever you want with it first]
Awwwww...that's so cute!!!
Yeah, like LNS said, you should play with it 'till you can put it nicely in a level! That will be cool!

I don't think you would be able to customize it, it has a texture map. You may be able to make the balloon smaller. And if you look closely you'll see that there are two of the post things that the ropes are fastened to where there should only be one. That's because it was only a single skin and the inside of the basket was transparent, so I had to duplicate it and reverse vertex order, and then shrink it a little and lift it so that you could see the basket texture from inside as well as outside.
I will email it to you for you to play around with if you want or you can download it yourself from 3D Studio. Let me know if you want me to email it.
Well, here are some screenshots of my preliminary fix-up work.
Basically all I've done so far is to shrink down the size of the canopy.
One thing to notice is that if Stinky's standing at the position where the basket is, you really can't see much of the canopy, because of Stinky's position relative to the screen's boundaries. Shrinking the canopy further will not help.
In order to be able to see the entire canopy on the screen, Stinky has to stand at the position marked by the red X in the second screenshot, or go further north.
So if you're going to use this model in an actual level, it's best if you can design the level so that the balloon is approached from the north, that way people will have a view of the balloon that includes having the canopy fully visible (ie. not occluded or clipped) on the screen. I have to agree with Popo that using this model well in Wonderland could be challenging.
Since this model is not my top priority right now, I won't work on it further until someone requests so. I'm pretty sure I can make the canopy customizable if that's also desired.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
If you played the level in alt-x mode, using numbers 1 & 3 to bring you down to near floor level, you would be able to see it all. But I don't like playing in alt-x mode as Stinky doesn't stay centre screen as is usual.
It looks a lot better with a smaller canopy though.
