New Level - (adv) Back in the Saddle

Post by bordeaux » Tue Nov 13, 2007 9:42 pm

Hi all! I have been absent for some time so I thought it was time to "Get back in the Saddle!"

I used Liz's texture minastinroof, which I love. Thanks Liz.

Enjoy!

Thanks

Someone else sent a pm with the same request. I hope this helps.
The first thing you need to do is push the red boulder down, wait for it to begin it's return then time your jump and use the transporter to reach the box. Push it up and you will step on a timer button that will keep the red boulder from returning (you may need to step on it again). When you push the box it will return over your head and then you can push it onto the tranporter. Now retrieve the coin from the blue button and wait. The red boulder will return and destroy the box. A generator will slide a new box onto the blue button. The red ball will stop on the conveyor belt and you can push it to the right and it will cover the red timer button.

I must say that sure got me started. It's going to take some time to get by those conveyors though. Pretty neat what you did in that area. Haven't finished yet, just taking a break and thought I'd give it a go. I'm not surprised I'm not the only one who was stuck. Thanks for the starter Michelle.

I can't seem to ever get to that timer under the box in time

Edit: Ok got that timing down, once, and then managed to exit without all the coins   I'm really doing something way wrong here.

I think I'll wait some more before screamin' for some help on the next part hehehe

Hello Michelle I hope you had a good summer?

This was certainly an interesting adventure. I was stuck trying to keep the conveyors stopped and then for some reason my cannons kept exploding until I tried a different arrangement  I didn't know it mattered!

Lots of fun and I hope to see more now that you're 'back in the saddle' :D

I've been going at this on and off all day yesterday and today. I can get up to the cannon room and I just can't figure it out. I've tried so many different ways I'm getting burnt out. I've just got to know what to do in that area, it's driving me mad. Please more help..........

edit by me....4am sunday
Thanks to some much needed help from Bob I finally got this one. I think I was getting more upset with myself since I had made it thru the stinky parts and now I just couldn't figure out those cannons. They kept exploding and I kept forgetting about the one you tucked in the nook.

But finally made it thru, got that timer going and missed the tramp action. One more time..........got out with the gold and headed home.

It was frustrating being in that saddle, that horse gave all she was worth but the stinker still held on for the ride. Thanks Michelle and thanks to Bob for the help.

Thank's all - I am glad you enjoyed the level

I actually didn't know the arrangement of the canons mattered either until I began working on this section!

And, Bob, I did have a great summer

Either this is a humdinger - or the way I found was more complicated than the intended one. In any case, Loof is out with gold!

Cannons?

Totally at a loss at the cannon area - sure wish there was a way to save the game after you have mastered the rest. Just saying.

Yes, there is a way: get in the editor and start Stinky in the cannon area (with a plain boulder rolling over the first column) - it does save plenty of time. Let me know if you need help with the cannon area itself.
