Happiness
Just thought I'd share....
We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. Then we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will certainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, when we are able to go on a nice vacation or when we retire.
The truth is there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges.
It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way.
So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with... and remember that time waits for no one.
So, stop waiting
Until your car or home is paid off.
Until you get a new car or home.
Until your kids leave the house.
Until you go back to school.
Until you finish school.
Until you lose 10 lbs.
Until you gain 10 lbs.
Until you get married.
Until you get a divorce.
Until you have kids.
Until you retire.
Until summer..
Until spring.
Until winter.
Until fall.
Until you die.
There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey, not a destination. So work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, and dance like no one's watching.

Robyn, thank you for sharing that beautiful stuff. It's true
that's why I'm here in Wonderland. LOL
Hi Marinus, I was just joking around with you and Robyn earlier.
Neither one of you are more profound than the other (as far as I know anyway). Most people can be profound, if they choose to do so. You are both fantastic people.

I used to stress out all the time, but I had a really bad car wreck and I almost died, I also had an etopic pregnacy and almost died. Makes you look at life differently. I try not to stress out so much anymore. I have a more positive outlook on life and I'm happy with what I have.
If you came to my house and said to me:
Monica I just love that, I'd probably give it to you or go buy you one. I like to see people smile, sometimes it's like a ray of sunshine. To touch someones life gives meaning to your own.

Monica me too! I give stuff away like crazy. And yes, devastating events in our life is usually what makes us sit up and take notice, take stock of our life.
I've had enough misery. It's time to be happy. It is a choice, happiness doesn't just happen to you.
Glad ya all liked it. Although I didn't write it, I live by the point of it and greatly appreciate the author whom ever that may be.
And I truly live by what my signature says

Yes, it's lovely. Thank you for that, Robyn.Glad ya all liked it.
And I totally agree: happiness can only exist in the NOW. It's like a kid on the beach digging away in the sand and making a gigantic castle. And for a few timeless hours there's nothing but the sand, the surf of the sea and that castle. No 'things we have to do tomorrow' or 'remember what happened last month'.
And for the rest of our lives we're trying to recapture those moments and we forgot how...

But there's a cure: it's called NOW!

Signing off to make coffee. Yummmmm...

John Goodman, in that great movie 'Fallen', has said: "Without pizza and other fine Italian foods, there would be no happiness."Are you as much of a coffee-alholic as I am?
I'll second that and add COFFEE to the list.
I did try to drink it black for a short while, but went back to cream (and sugar). I don't drink it as strong as a lot of people do, it seems. Coffee should taste as such and not feel like a sledgehammer.
A few years ago I bought this little grinder and so now I grind coffee beans twice a day by hand. I'll never go back...

Well, the grinder is not electrical, see. I have to turn the handle by hand, making circles 'n stuff....
Holland is a modern country, but electrickity has just been introduced. We now have an alternative to candles and some households already have refrigerators. I hear it keeps your food quite cool. But what's this thing called tevelision? Does it exist or did someone just put me on??

I could tell you I have a few gnomes running around in a treadmill, but I don't like talking nonsense...Your PC must have a hand crank on it.
Nah, it's foot pedals, like with a sowing machine. It works great. The only odd moment when I experience a sudden power failure, is when I get cramp in my le
