Post by Mahaloof » Mon Jan 07, 2008 4:37 pm

Marinus, thanks for the compliments about searching for storybooks on internet. You mean Travel Guides, of course, but you're forgiven. I have not written (or published) any books. But as I'm having so much fun with it, and as it seems that people appreciate my Tourist Tips, I'm seriously considering the possibility of writing a publishable something. I have no idea what form that may take. Is the world waiting for another 'Hitchhiker's Guide'? Dunno.... :? Or a fantasy world where little bears and gnomes keep Belgians as pets? I have to see where my imagination takes me...

As for my name: look up DJ Mahasukh and check Dutch pages..... 8)

Hello Mahaloof

Thank you for giving me the feeling I'm so special, by writing a new topic for me! :D But I think Dizzy won't get angry when we talk in her "Mahaloof topic". 8)

To be honest, I don't really understand what you're saying about storybooks and travel guides. I thought storybooks are books with stories, mostly fiction and travel guides are descriptions of other places and countries to go on a holiday. Or am I mistaken?

But I think you also can write travel guides; at least you can tell for each country what races of dogs they do eat and which not.   And allthough I don't travel much I think I'd like to read them so if you change your mind and decide to go writing books, please tell me, but write them in Dutch please!

About DJ Mahasukh, I never heard of before. I found it is something with music and dancing and Buddha, and the only thing I know about Buddha is that's about a big world religion and I like to sit on the same way. The difference is that I need a chair.8)

But you mean I was right? You like these DJ and also like Loof, so you called yourself Maha Loof?

P.S. Wouldn't it be stupid if two Dutch people are talking English to each other

I opened a separate thread to seriously answer your questions, Marinus. On the other thread it's 97 % nonsense and that's how I like it.
To be honest, I don't really understand what you're saying about storybooks and travel guides.
Well, that serves me right. I made a joke about my posts on Germany and Romania, calling them Travel Guides. But mixing serious talk with jokes can be quite confusing. Sorry about that...
But you mean I was right? You like these DJ and also like Loof,
Yes, I like Loof a lot. He's the only one who fits entirely in a boulder and he's having a ball. As for DJ Mahasukh, you're almost there. I certainly like him a lot.. :D But think a little further. (I'll give you a hint: I love music!) :D

That wóuld be stupid, yes!! :D  8)

It's allright with me talking with humor and jokes or serious or both mixed in both of the topics and whatever what topics more. So you don't need to say sorry; I also like to mix serious and humor if I get the chance    8)

Since a few days I have now RTW so I didn't see Loof inside a boulder but I'll wait and see. I decided trying to play one of Dizzy's custom levels, it seemed nice with a square with red and yellow circles but when I stepped on it I became launched like rocket and then I died into the water. I never witnessed such thing before. So maybe it's better to read the manual first 8)

But the point of your name...... It's difficult, very difficult :!: I thought for a long time but couldn't get the solution, so I called my grand uncle in law who lives in England. He's a very old man who's spent his entire life as a private investigator, and now he's been retired for years he still likes to solve mysteries (By the way, his favorite music is Dire Straits). I told him the question and then it was quite still for a while. Then he started to murmur something. He's an old man so I couldn't understand it well, it sounded like: ".... .. seems .. .almost ... more art", but I've no idea what he meant. Then he shouted: "No! that's impossible". And again it was still for a while. At last he said:

"Well, you see what, son (that's a strange typical expression of him; he always says that), this is really a difficult puzzle to solve. I'm not quite sure but I think I got it. Look what, son! He said you're almost there by thinking he likes that DJ, but there is more, we have to think further and he says he loves music, so maybe he works together with that DJ, maybe they are friends or family; who knows. And there's another hint he gave us, you see what, son; He said it would be stupid if ... And no one wants to be stupid, so.... perhaps he is not Dutch but he came original from the Far East. For when I hear a names like Mahasukh and dancing Buddhas I get the idea of the Far East. Yes, I think that's it; He is at any way related to that DJ, perhaps he is that DJ himself!"

You can imagine that I was totally surprised and I'm still wondering if my grand uncle was right, but I have to admit that I have no better idea, so I give up. :?: :?: :?: :?:

Congratulations on having RtW, Marinus!! :D :D :D Not only is this one of the best games in the world, but now you can also play with the grown-ups.
Dizzy makes wonderful levels and they're not a bad place to start either. But it is good to learn what all these thingies can do.
but when I stepped on it I became launched like rocket and then I died into the water.
Well, you're one of the lucky ones. My first attempt at a Custom level ended after 1.3 seconds, with 2 boulders jumping out of my monitor and flying right through the livingroom window. And that's nothing to what happened to Kiki: the whole neighbourhood complained and the couple from next door moved to Montana!

Your uncle is a grand man and clever too. The name is Indian, but I am definitely Dutch. Ik zeg dus, je oom is een grootse man and slim ook. De naam is Indiaas, maar ik ben hartstikke Nederlands. Echt wel! Voor meer info kun je zoeken op Vrienden van Osho.
perhaps he is that DJ himself!
Bingo!! I've been a DJ for more than 11 years now (amateur, meaning I don't make a living off it).
And if you or anybody else is wondering about my English: I've been reading English books for the past 30 years, as Dutch is such a harsh language.. Besides that, I have an IQ of 831 (731 on monday mornings), but I never talk about it...

Enough about me. How are you doing and when when when are we going to have an Elfstedentocht??? (That's THE skating event in Holland, folks, featuring 10,000 participants and 1 cup of hot chocolate).
:D :D :D :D

Thanks for the warning! I now have a steel box on my desktop. 8)

If I understand well you are Dutch (so probably your real name too) but because you're believing in or belonging to some kind of religion called "friend of Osho" you called yourself with an Indian name.

According to http://www.mijnwoordenboek.nl/ the right word is East Indian, but I already thought you were not talking about Native Americans

About your IQ; it's not fair. There are so many people who'll have to do with 10% of it 8)

I bet the only Elfstedentocht we'll have in 500 years are with canoes or skeelers. But I don't care that much, I'd rather go skiing because I go automaticly forward
