Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.

I can't read much and I don't know if I'm even spelling correctly, I can't view any picture's or play any levels.
if you want to do the contest without me feel free, I can check out all the desks when I get my new PC that I just ordered today, Cha ching!
It will be here in three to seven days then I will have to transfer all my files and such.
That's where I'm at right now, This sucks big time.

Does this mean that if we spot smoke rising from someones pc in the desk comp, that it belongs to kiki?
You know I'd almost rather have car trouble than trouble with my computer!
Good luck transferring all your stuff from one machine to the next!

The bestest most easy way to transfer stuff is to get a USB drive big enough to hold yer personal stuff. You can always re-install programs but saving the user files, favorites or bookmarks, email files all that is a be-atch to do. The USB drives sure make it a lot easier.
Good luck with Vista Keeks.

Not sure how I missed this post. I knew he was gonna be gone for a bit but I thought it was just his monitor. He shoudn't have any problems transfering his stuff as long as his hard drive is still in good works. When I got my new hard drive I just switched the bay and put my new one in then plugged up the one I was removing and Window XP did all the work for me. It was a piece of cake. Of course if he's getting a new PC it'll probbably already be preloaded with Windows Vista.
Well hurry back Kiki............we miss you.
I know how I missed this post, all this silly stuff that gets posted by the kids and the spammers pushed this one down the page. Some of that needs deleted.

There is a way to remove Vista and install XP Pro. On all the tech boards I belong to they have perfected it now. Of course they've been working on that for ages.
Hopefully Microsoft will do with Vista what it has done with all it's other Operating Systems. Ya know how they release them and they are crap? Well with Win95 they came out with SE and it was ok. With XP they came out with SP2 and it was ok. Now lets hope that Vista will have some kind of fix within the year so that it isn't such garbage. And boy how many times is Microsoft going to rip off Apple?
I tell ya, if everyone owned a Mac I'd be outta business!

Well thanks for the advise, & if it were cheap i'd be asking you how to do it (or maybe it is cheap) it wasn't a very expensive laptop to begin with, so I'm not sinking a bundh of money into it.. but when it comes time fo rme to replace mine, i'll be yelling your name

If you still have a copy of Win XP (it has to be Pro) and a registration number for it you can do it yourself for FREE
I will search through my stuff and find you the clearest easiest site that explains the process and PM it to ya.
Prolly not tonight though hehehe I'm kinda sick of computer stuff for today

Bobbin, I appreciate your offer, but I don't have a copy of XP Pro, XP came preloaded on my PC, so as much as I appreciate your offer I'm not going out to buy a copy .

Oh no don't go out and buy one! Yikes that would suck. Too expensive too.
I just thought you might have the disc somewhere. Even when the OS comes pre-loaded on your computer there's a recovery disc included so that if your puter goes kaflooey you can re-install and set your computer back to "factory condition".
Hopefully Vista will be improved upon soon.
Oh yeah.......Kiki we MISS YOU!!!!!!
