Is everyone OK? (Weather in USA)

Post by Loirae » Wed Feb 06, 2008 5:14 am

Watching the weather channel. So far about 41 tornadoes have gone through from Indiana to Arkansas. They are still going, Tennessee and Kentucky getting some of the worth tonight, Arkansas got the worst earlier. More places I can't even count.

You USA members in the path, please check in and let us know you're OK. Lots of friends here that will be worrying and wondering.

Already 11 dead in Arkansas due to tornadoes  So far we're good here, Horrible rains earlier, got through the tornado watch without incident, now they're predicting more snow... a far cry from yesterdays 76 degrees

Thanks for checking on us dear :D

I was walking my dogs at the park by my house, There is a warning system there and it goes off scaring the crap out of my young dog, She turns to me and says, Papa! Its time to go home I'll show you the way.
She did!
the older dog Hunter and I followed, Well dragged is more like it.

On a more serious note, Its sad about the deaths. :(
Right now we just have high winds and I just heard some thunder. So far Fayette county is doing fine.

groovy laura.

kikikins, check back in the the AM. Me think I'll worry the whole night.

And I think we've got members in other southeastern states... can't remember all the places, but they are either sleeping or hiding out in the basement. Or both.

Be safe Wonderlanders!

Edit: Ok called him. He said most of the severe stuff was East of him

WHEW all is good by him.

I sure hope all our other Wonderlanders and families are doing well.

:D :D :D Still here had some high winds and thunder with rain but that's it.
My sister lives a little farther east, they had a severe weather warning that advised then to go to the basement, Some big wind hit their area but passed quickly.
All is well here now. :D :D :D

I seen this post this morning but didn't get a chance to talk with my daughter till lunch time, she lives in Olive Branch, MS just outside of Memphis, TN. She said her company was just getting everything back online. Her step-mother works at one of the malls in Memphis and she went home sick, it turned out to be one of the malls that got demolished. She said my son and their brother were all Ok, she called my son's girlfriend who was home alone and told her to take my step-grandson and get in a closet and stay there. She heard from her cousin in Ft. Smith, AR and they were all OK also. that stuff sure is scary and I'd hate to be in the middle of it.

We've got some high winds here today.

I started back to work Monday. I only work 3 or 4 mos. out of the year putting in plants for this guy that has seven greenhouses, so I'm on my feet all day. I've been so sore and tired I didn't even know about the storm till I got up this morning and checked out the forum. I hit that bed early at night.

It's about the weather here. So why not something completely different than that bad weather in the USA.

Here in Belgium, we had the warmest Friday February 9th with 16°C of all time. On Friday February 9 2007 it was just 0°C.

Today it was also very warm for the time of the year. But from tomorrow it will be more winter.
