withdrawals :)

Post by donutlady » Sun Aug 29, 2004 3:07 pm

Hi all,

My modem was hit by lightening thursday night and I couldn't get it replaced until today. Talk about major withdrawals, lol. It's worse than
trying to quit smoking. Thankfully it was just my modem and not my
harddrive or I would have lost my game. That would be unthinkable, lol.
Anyway, just wanted to stop in and find out what has been happening the
past few days, got get back to the game while doing laundry, hope
everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

Good to see you again Frankie.

Most of us can sympathise with you, we have experienced lost connections etc. Enough to make you pull your hair out!

Look forward to seeing lots of posts from you.

Enjoy your day.

Hi, Donutlady, I can sympathize with you. :(

I have been dodging hurricanes which bring power loss and worse. So far, Charley sideswiped us, Frances hit us and now we are watching Ivan. I am hoping he will just go away and not bother anyone.

Best wishes to all who are going through this devastation.

Thanks for the good wishes Davimad! We sure do need them! Right now the weather is sunny and hot, but they are forcasting Ivan to come right to our area sometime Tuesday morning. The whole community is a nervous wreck. It has been a long month.

I had been trying to catch up on the Classic levels before all this started, but haven't had much time lately. Hopefully will have a chance later to do so.

Thanks again!

I have been out of the loop for awhile myself. I have family in Florida and they have been hit by Charley, Francis and it looks like Ivan is heading straight for them. We had a death in the family this week and I went back to school. I miss the forum but Priorities-priorities...I think any prayers possible for Florida would be helpful. My family has been hit so hard all ready I cannot imagine what Ivan will bring. I spoke to my niece tonight and she is so frightened and only 6 yers old  It broke my heart to talk to her. I want her here with me so I can cuddle her and make her feel more secure...but alas...mother nature is stronger than I.

So, for anyone who has family, friends, or colleagues in Florida my heart, soul and prayers go out to them...

Oh, Lori! I feel so bad.

We survived NS's first hurricane in something like 50 years a year ago, and the worst we had was power outages for 3 weeks in some parts. Sure, there was significant property damage, and sadly we lost two lives from falling trees, but otherwise, we were back on our feet inside of a week.

I dread ever having to live through another one, and they are predicting several for us, although only category ones and two, barely a nor'easter here. I could not imagine what your family must be going through. We've been following Ivan on the news, and it doesn't look good for Florida, or Texas.

I'll keep you and your family in my prayers, as I'm sure many of your Wonderland friends will do. Keep us posted.

Poor Gen.

As I just said to Lori, we'll keep you in our prayers while this horrible season lasts.

I hope you and yours comes out in one piece.
