Help Please

Post by jane » Fri Sep 17, 2004 1:27 pm

Could someone please explain to me in "dummy" terms on how you post a level. I have read and and read and I am confused. I made an attempt in making a level and would like to share with everyone, as long as they don't laugh :P :P :P :P
I see my level in my custom directory, but I don't know what to do from there, sorry to everyone for being an Idiot

You're not an idiot :D . We all act like that at the beggining... :)

To POST a Level:

*If you created the level with Return To Wonderland (RTW) Classic Version, it should be a .LEV file. Act like this:
1- Go to Custom Levels (Classic Edition) forum, click in NEW POST, then to attach a level to your message, click BROWSE and select the file manually. NOTE: By default, when you create a level, it should be in the folder Custom Levels INSIDE RTW Directory. Then, just click in ADD ATTACHEMENT. Done! :) Now, just submit the message.

2- IF it is a DELUXE Level (.LV5 File), go to the Custom Levels (DELUXE EDITION FORUM) and do the same process to upload the level.

I hope it's clear. :)

It IS enjoyable! And very good for a first creation! I see that you are already familiar with the Editor, that's good, we all hope so see great levels comming from you! :)

Just 2 quick notes:

* The exit should be covered by gates (at the time all coins are colected all gates go down and if you block the exit with them, that makes us to find ALL rainbow coins in the level 8) )

* Next time you post a level, make a new thread :D :D

My bad, I forgot all about the exit gates. Like I said, it was my first, and plenty of mistakes. Thanks everyone!!

Hi jane,

Welcome to level making - always good to see new players giving it a go

However having just downloaded and played this level I am unable to collect 4 of the rainbow coins and 10 of the bonus coins as they are all in solid walls

I notice from your post above that you say you noticed a boo-boo - however if you have amended this level you need to upload it to the forum again so that we are able to download the new version.

Don' worry about any mistakes though - we've all made them in our early levels
