To make a proper spoiler that can't be seen without highlighting it follow these instructions.

1. Click the quote button above.
2. Click the font colour and choose white.
3. Click the quote button again (unquote).
4. Click your cursor between the font on and off boxes you just made.
Code: Select all

[quote][color=white]click cursor here[/color][/quote]
```
5. Start typing your spoiler.

Now when you post your message the spoiler will be invisible until highlighted.

Like this.

Now no-one will see a spoiler accidentally.

So if I have a solution to show, I'll put it in a spoiler? So I don't show a solution immediately in black, or may I do that as well?

Seriously... It's better to use a spoiler so you won't accidently spill the fun of players who want to find the solution on their own.

And then there always the option of not reading it if someone goofs. I have found a few posts where folks have put spoilers in just white text and not in a quote box. So it's white on gray which is still kind of readable. I just simply don't read it and move on.

Heya guys, more thread necromancy but with a useful idea.
Just make the text the exact same color of the post's background. The colors are #DEE3E7 and #EFEFEF.
This is the #DEE3E7 kind of post. Press Ctrl+A.
Try to read this now without highlighting. Also try inverting the colors in Paint. This is the EXACT SAME color.

About the time I posted this, I don't have to go to school tomorrow, thanks to independence day.

I'm gonna go to bed now 'cause I'm getting tired.
