Weather Ups & Downs
Our gas here is $3.65.
Our peach crop here in NC was really bad last year, all the blooms got caught in the last frost. My hubby drove by the peach orchards last weekend and he said all the trees are loaded with blooms. I usually go get us a bushel and freeze them up, their so sweet and juicy.
It stopped raining here so I'm going to take advantage of it and do a few things out in my greenhouse right after I call my mommy and wish her a Happy Mother's day.

Glad to know the peach crops are good.
I worked in the Produce department last summer for Wal-mart, I remember how high peaches, oranges, lemons, limes etc.. etc.. were. Maybe I'll have to by more peaches this year instead of potato chips
I was just on the phone with my friend in Colorado, she's paying $3.79 a gallon
I'll shut my mouth now

I know your gas prices are OUTRAGOUS .. but most of you on the other side of the pond have something we don't over here... a GREAT train system & public transportation. The town I live in has no buses, or taxi's, most of America, except the bigger cities, has very limited, if any type of public transportationMarinus wrote:but you don't want to know the gasprices here

What's your problem Laura??? You've got a tractor haven't you? And a sit-on thingy lawnmower!

Our transport may be fantastic - but we blooming well pay a huge price for it! Plenty ££££££££'s and lots of pollution!
Hope your purty peonies are still looking beautiful Dizbomb. Good luck with the storms - stay safe x

That's about where we are for gas too. 3.79 is the AVERAGE price.
We have horses....but that's not public is it hehehe
We don't have anything like that, even in the bigger towns around us. I grew up in Chicago and Austin and there was loads of options for public transportation.
Although I sure wouldn't move back just for that reason!

Robyn I grew up in Denver... no use for a car really, you can get anywhere on bus or the "light rail", unfortunately TONS of people drive (including myself when I lived there

Glad to read everything is fine and you didn't have tornado's.
I fortunately never have seen a tornado but it seems very dangerous to me.
I found 1 hectare (=100 are = 10000 square meters) = 2.47105381 acre
1.5 (Euros / liter) = 8.76587807 U.S. dollars / US gallon (about gasprice in NL)
26 degrees Celsius = 78.8 degrees Fahrenheit
You can just type in Google: 1.5 euro / liter to usd / gallon
And as Lillie says: Trains and buses in Europe neither ride with water or air only
About all those different length measures and such: Isn't it very difficult to calculate with them? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperial_unit We only have meters (mm,cm, m, km) so we only have to calculate x 10, 100, 1000 etc.

Yeah our gas stations change their prices sometimes 5 or 6 times a day. Well let me clarify that...there isn't a gas station in my town. There are two about 10 miles north of me and a dozen or so 20 miles south of me.
I'm not sure where that site gets their info but they are way wrong. Then again it is a Microsoft site
