Goobs, Chromatron & LaserLight

Post by VirtLands » Thu May 22, 2008 4:18 am

The following are some more (smaller) laser-type games:

Chromatron 1,2,3,4, -The Complete Collection:

LaserLight:

And now,
this is your chance to play an old-style DOS game on Windows.

LaserLight is a DOS game and more likely
shall malfunction with Windows,...
therefore,

A. Download and decompress the "light.zip" game into a directory of your choice.
(No special installation is required for LaserLight, just unzip it).
B. Download and install DOSBOX v0.72 into a directory of your choosing.
http://www.dosbox.com/
(DOSBox is the best DOS emulator;
it will also simulate the DOS fullscreen function)
C. Open the LaserLight game directory...
D. Drag and drop the LL.EXE file directly onto the DOSBox 0.72 icon.
E. This shall start the game nicely,...
(If there's no DOSBox 0.72 icon on your desktop, please do create that link.)

F. You can use DOSBox to play many other
games that only like to run in DOS.

For those of you that haven't heard of it, "The Goobs", is another
super complex game just like "Blocks 5": http://www.pcpuzzle.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16091

Chromatron is a good game, but difficulty should have it's limits: I would consider it the, no, THE hardest puzzle game I've ever played!! Starting from 20s these levels are real brutes, (and I'm talking only about C1) so beware.

Sorry for bumping this up, but since the Chromatron forum is practically DEAD... I have to ask for help somewhere else. MAYBE someone knows.

I'm left with three damn hard levels on C1: 39, 45, 50.
39 I'm just at a total loss, no matter what I do I need LOTS more pieces to win.
45 I've finally figured out how to get both beams to both sides... but I'm now missing one bender. The code is 1-45-EwwsgBuFcSdeEvCrrZsbyI.
50 I was stumped for weeks on how to hit all the wheels even without worrying about color, now I have it like 1-50-PhCInuthjvBZaSzMRdReLGLIQS. But... you need to change colors 6 times for that, and we have only five of these.

Sooo close on 45 and 50.

Anyone?
