Hi Wonderlanders,

Here it is then - Qookies's Challenge

I would say about 3 times the size (and difficulty) of the 'Warm-Up'

Well, it is the weekend coming - you just know it's gonna rain - so come on, give it a go

Hi ol'gramma,

Firstly congrats on getting past the first part of this level.

Ah yes - the pink gate/timer button - It is impossible for me to do it in the time and that was before I put the piece of electric floor in

You need to find a way of keeping the pink gate open for as long as it takes to 'stroll' to get the coin

Look at what is ahead that you may use

- and of course, what you've left behind

Let me know if you need any proper hints.

i have the same problem ol'gramma that pink gate gets me , and if i leave it to go on thru the next part i cant get back thru the guardian ufo's

Hi angelinaus,

As long as you don't activate the square blue button in the next part, then you can come back pass the 2 UFO's OK - so I am not too sure what problem you are having

Wow - this really is a challenge (for me anyway); one thing I like about Malc's levels - they make you feel brainless until you finally get it & complete them - then you feel very BRAINY!

I'm still at the brainless stage on this one.

HI Malc, i *did* think of that but then i couldnt figure out a way to make the pink timer be activated by anything in that room so thinking i must need to go into the next area and obviously triggering the blue gates by doing that, but i think you just turned a lightbulb on for me

so im going to go back and keep trying

i finished it .... except i got to the end and discovered id forgotten to collect the bonus coins , but even that couldnt dampen my enthusiasm at having finished it.

Hi angelinaus,

Many CONGRATS on completing the level

I only put the bonus coins in the level so that players can 'curse'

If anyone is still stuck at the pink gate problem then below is a hint and then a full solution for this part of the level:-

******* HINT & SOLUTION to pink gate *******

This is how I intended this part to be solved.

HINT :-

You need the 2 reflectors from the first section.
You need the boulder from the next section.
You then use these to keep the pink star button permanantely ON.

SOLUTION :-

Bring 1 of the reflectors from section 1 and place it immediately above (behind) the pink star button.
Minding UFO - go to section 3, and (minding blue square button) push boulder down - this will end up on the pink button.
Minding UFO go back to the reflector above the pink button - push it right and then up to place it immediately above the ice strip pointing north.
Get the second reflector from section 1 - minding UFO, take it all the way to section 3 and back again so that it end up immediately below the strip of ice pointing south. (N.B. this is the tricky/quick finger bit at the point of getting on this correct square - quickly go up after pushing it onto the ice corner).
Now you can push the boulder up and it will continually go 'up & down' over the pink star button and keep the pink gate open

You must then STILL plan ahead

If anyone solved this part another way I would luv to hear how

Congrats to you Angelinaus for completing Malc's SuperLevel. That is a great accomplishment.

I immediately saw what needed to be done after the pink button hint, and can set up the first half, but I have never been abe to get back in to the first room to get the last item.
I have tried a cazilian times to get past that UFO, timing it according to all different postions of the 'stitching', but I never have made it.

You must be much shorter and thinner than I

I will have to say this was most enjoyable, even tho I didn't finish it, and I appreciate the 'mastery' that created it!

However, I am concerned that you cannot get back to get the reflector from the first part - as this was not supposed to be hard

I assume you use the conveyor belt/reflectors to destroy the static UFO to get over the very first bit of ice to get to part 2.
You should then be able to just push the 2 reflectors to the second part once you have them back off of the conveyor belt.
As long as you keep walking (pushing) the UFO that moves left/right should not get you

Time for me to admit my stupidity. I can get rid of the first UFO; I can see how to do the pink button; BUT, I can't figure out how to get by/get rid of the UFO by the ice patch to even WORK on the pink button

. No one else has mentioned this problem, so I guess I'm missing something very obvious.

Hi majic1,

The way that I intended for the first part to be played is as follows:-

Move reflectors up away from moving UFO.

Running over timer, stop conveyor and collect bonus and Rainbow coins (Take as many times as you need but work from the top for protection and get back to the timer button before the conveyor restarts)

Move the / facing reflector onto conveyor (when moving is OK)

Move the \ facing conveyor up to below the conveyor timer switch.
Stop the conveyor so that the / reflector is directly above the static UFO that you need to get pass. Immediately push \ reflector up 1 and left 2 onto conveyor and get back off.
(you can have as many tries as you need)

Now - stop the conveyor so again the / reflector is above the static UFO and immediately move above the \ reflector so that the moving UFO fires at you - QUICKLY get back to safety(the timer switch)

Hopefully the shot from the moving UFO has hit both of the reflectors and destroyed the static UFO below the ice.

This sounds more difficult than it is - and you can have as many attempts as you need - even if you play with the timer on I have allowed extra, extra time.

Got as far as the last "room" - just! Can't get the top coin (from 3 in a row - top left). Rainbow assist or reflector him to death?

I can't believe it...

Well...yes I can

Here is where I went wrong right from the start...
I had no problem moving the deflectors away, making a shield, getting the coins and bonus coins and shoving 1 deflector past the stationary UFO. Now I am in the next room.
No wonder you were surprised that I was at the pink button already!!!
I had skipped a whole step.

Once you gave the hint on the pink button, I kept trying to get back into the 1st room to get the other deflector. That is what is IMPOSSIBLE..unless of course, you play it correctly from the beginning. I just never thought of that, I went blank

Still a great level.

i killed both ufo's in the first room that way i could come and go as i pleased and take the reflectors with me as they are invalulable to the rest of the level

Yes, angelinaus, I originally had the level so that you HAD to destroy both of the UFO's in the first room - but even I thought that was TOO hard, so congrats again on getting the timing that good to have done it

OK--Just HOW do you get back past the UFO on the LEFT when you go back into the 3rd area (in front of the blue square)???? The rest isn't so bad, but just how does one control a UFO that you can't kill??? :*(

I just want to mention that, in addition to letting the UFO kills itself, you can also try to get the rainbow spirits to collect coins for you. I believe both options work. (I've only tried the non-rainbow spirit one though.)
