my dog died

it hurts, and to help deal with the pain i descided to post this.... its helping sorta i guess

his name was luke: hes been around since i was born (which was nice)
he was black and fuzzy, and smelled really bad but thats why i loved him so much... i miss him and im hurting really bad
heres a poem some guy wrote about my dog (a poem i didnt figure out even existed until today)

Of all the sentiments I've read
No truer words were penned
than these that best express my thoughts
a dog is mans best friend
he is a true compainion,
the best youve ever known
and though hes worth his weight in steaks
hes happy with a bone
hell wait for your attention
eyes innocent and wide
and though lifes wildest ups and downs
be always at your side
you may be happy in your bed
hes happy on the floor
and even when your out of sorts
he simply loves you more
and one last thing's as certian as
night follows after day...
his love for you will grow and grow
and never pass away

any comments, advice on how to deal with it
i would really appreciate it
thanks 2yu

2yu, I'm crying for you.       I'm so very, very, very sorry about your best friend.

Maybe he is in Doggie Heaven. :) He might be playing with other doggies and some very nice people, right now. I have two doggies that also went to doggie heaven, a long time ago. I know it hurts terribly and it will take you a long time to stop hurting.

I will be thinking about you and hoping you're ok.

PS. That is a very beautiful poem. <3

2yu, I'm very sorry for you. There is no way to make the sadness & pain go away. Know that it's ok to feel sad & to cry, we all feel grief when something we love leaves us.

I promise, you will not always feel the sadness you are experiancing right now & the day will come when you will be able to remember your beloved dog with fond memories.

Let time make sad memories go away...
Very true. I'm deeply sad about your dog, but I don't think I can do anything to help you. :(
So time is indeed the only thing that heals painful memories...
Rest in peace, Kym. I hardly knew ya.
Rest in peace, Marinus. A bright star, you were ahead of me on my own tracks of thought. I miss you.

I'm sorry to hear about your dog 2yu. I've lost several over the years and it broke my heart everytime. I'm a doggy lover also, I have two right now and I'd probably have a few more, but I guess two is enough, their like my children and spoiled rotten.
Your little dog will always be in your heart and remembered fondly by you...gone but not forgotten.

Doggy Best Friends

 My dogs are my children and I nearly lost my old fella only a couple of weeks ago, so when I say I know how you must feel, I am truely, truely sorry for your loss. Pets come into our lives to show us what unconditional love is and I can only hope that you can find this again soon.
Keep your chin up.
