Marinus, you're completely right! The answer was indeed FADE.

Lutz, I've never noticed that you can do letter I in hex. (as 1) Thanks for noticing! (Actually I simply took mqdar's as given checked, it's DEAD not D1E)

OK, I guess I've overestimated my abilities. It won't fit.

But in my defense, I did TRY to eat it.

And do you actually have a rule for your puzzle, or were you just making it up as you went along?

It's turns out to be simple:Just skip the crazy numbers,and combine the first and last number. So here 1=8.

Well, that may be simple, but illogical, and not hinted anywhere.
MY solution, on constract, was quite a bit more logical, since you've explicitly told that 1=2 in the BEGINNING of the puzzle.
So, there. With a better construction, this definitely can be a cool idea, but in it's current form... Meh.

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10

Set 2
20,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19

Group these numbers.

And tell why you group them like this.

Hint:it's about 1-10.
