Where's my key gone?

Somewhere in the temple I picked up this key (see piccie). When I came out of the temple with the star key, and it got stolen and I had to go back in, I still had the key. Somewhere since that I seem to have lost it. I haven't used it anywhere, at least not to my knowledge. I wondered at the time what it was for, now I'll never know because I don't have it anymore. Any clues as to where it's disappeared to?

Btw, it isn't the key I got into the temple with, that looks completely different.

During the beta, I had that key too, but I don't know where it went or where/when there's any need for it. Sorry

You use it during the adventure called "The Chase" when:

you chase the trolls through the temple. At the end, they all disppear and you're left at a blue gate. If you cheat out of this level, the key stays in your bag. But if you play to the end, you have to use it in order to continue.

I don't remember using it. Did I use it automatically, or did I physically take it out and use it? If it's the latter then I think I may be going senile.

You actually have to open your bag and use it. But there is no puzzle to getting the key or to the gate (other than avoiding the furballs), so using it is highly unmemorable.

You can Floing back to jog your memory, but without the key on your bag, you can't actually complete the level in Floing.

It's panic for nothing.
Such a blue key was used for opening the gate in Kaboom's Village entering the way to the Temple.
And for opening the Temple itself. But the professor took it from you.
I'm sure I had such a key. But I've it no more. I didn't use it, someone took it for me (the professor) and used it. That would be it.
I'm in Acid Lake or around that adventure and I haven't got such a key anymore!

Erwin, I've already said it's not the key you get into the temple with, or the key you get out of Kaboom village with, you get it while you're in the temple. I picked it up along with some coins and gems I think, in the temple building, not in an adventure, and I was carrying it about for a long time. I only noticed it wasn't there when I came across that door in the corridor and wondered if it would open it.

Like Loirae says, I must have used it and not realised it.

You came out of the Temple and spoke to the Professor.
While you were talking the blue gate behind you was closed.
Then it opened. Cos the Professor opened it for you with that blue key you had.
That blue door was closed when you were talking to the Professor. That's for sure.
I had that key too. And now it's gone. End of story.

So again: panic for nothing.

Did you return to the camp?

Tell where you will go! Then I'm with you. So we both can continue.

I still had the key when I went back in the temple. I checked when the gate opened up again to see if I'd used that one and I hadn't. I don't particularly care that it's gone, but wanted to know where I was when it went.

I've been all over the place since then. In the void, in the volcano, in the acid pools, in the pirate camp. That's why I wondered where I'd 'lost' it.

Erwin, do you have any idea how the editor works?
Why do you seem to have to be right? The professor doesn't take the key anyway.
The key is used in "The Chase".

So Erwin, Floing yourself to the adventure called "The Chase" and you'll see the gate we're all talking about. And you probably won't have the key for it.

Why would you replay this level? It has no coins, no gems. What did you miss when you first played it?

I'm further on in the game. So isn't it obvious I finished the chase like MS would like it to be finished?
Okay if you use floing you can replay all levels including "the Chase". I see no point in replaying this level. It's just a part of the story. Maybe MS was wrong in putting "the Chase" into an Adventure rather than putting it on the hub

I haven't got all gems, or all coins? That's the only reason. Cos when I didn't finish it, I couldn't play it again in floing.

If you replay a random level it should be finishable, yes, of course. Is that what you wanted? That every level in floing should have a finish again like the first time? Then you all have right to say this level has a bug.
But I thought popo had that key and now lost it but didn't know where and why popo would need it elsewhere. We don't need it elsewhere, like I wrote before. I was wrong in saying the Professor took it. We used in the adventure "The Chase".

No-one wants to replay that level Erwin. Loirae was just saying if I wanted to see the gate that the key had opened then I could replay it. That's the only reason. Now you're the one who's going on about it, and, btw, us girls were happy before.

Erwin, you bring a smile to my face. Hang in there, buddy.

As for why we might want to play it again, there is a single reason. If you play an advernture faster, you can get a higher score. So, playing any level as the fastest way possible is worth it to people who care about the total end score.

I even played the adventure "The Star Key" to see if I could go faster. I've got it down to a few seconds.

Other than that, you're right. There's no other reason to go in there. No coins. No Gems....
