Okay not really an animal story...BUT A SPIDER STORY :(

Okay, this weekend is HUGE for us...Superbowl party (5th annual). So, on top of trying to get my house back in order due to construction and what not...I also need to clean coolers for soda and beer. So, I just this morning went to spray some bleach into a cooler to clean it and WHOA!!! I opened the lid and staring at me was by far the biggest spider I have ever seen...Scared the heck out of me. Not that I am afraid of them but unexpectedly seeing it...well I needed to change my britches. Hi Popo    Once I gathered myself I went back, with a piece of wood to kill it...I opened the lid and it was gone...Uh-oh? I am looking around and looking around and lo-and-behold there is Tinkerbell...Crunch-crunch-crunch. I almost lost my lunch.

Dilemma solved but now I am praying that Tinky does not get sick on one of my guests. Just what I need cat puke:lol:

Well Lori, I suppose you had to be mega patient to get cats and dogs to accept eachother, but I'm glad it's paid off now. 8)

Maureen, Cat and Roger - Those pics are just brilliant. Made my day.   Will have to show them to all my animal loving maniac friends.

Thanks.

Liz - In my case, the cat was here first, established territory. Then one
dog moved in, who basically ignored the cat so there was no problems.

Then another dog moved in, who was also non-territorial, and she and the
cat have been getting along fine, ignoring each other.

Oh, but then the male dog moved in (Rocky). Different story. Rocky
loves to play, and is convinced that everything is all about him. He chases
the cat, he chases the older dog, and the cat does not like him, but the
cat has "hiding places" that only she can get to, even though Rocky tries.

So it's not always peace and quiet here like it used to be <sigh>, but
they do keep us young, don't they?

I love that...Whenever Jasmin and Tinky get to playing Jasmin usually tires first (4 years old) and literally tries to hide her head under things...She is 74 pounds so she does not have much success. Tinky (1 1/2) just stalks Jasmin's rear end and pounces on it every chance she gets until she is tired of it.

Animals are so much fun

I often refer to my husband as an animal...you know "Big O'l Bear", "Dog", "Pig", and occasionally "fox"...

Maybe that would work...Because if we start those stories, look out...I think the stories would pour in so fast our heads would spin

Not really a funny story but a cute one :D In preparation for our big party tomorrow several of our friends come over the day before and help us set up the tents, tables, chairs, etc. I have been cooking since 6:00 am so I really think they are here to taste

Anywho, Jasmin has been running around because we have quite a few people here helping and she is exhausted. One of our guests went to look for her because she disappeared and not only found her but found Tinky also...in their bed

And BTW that bed was made before those two got in it.

I was sitting at my computer reading for class (studying) and Tinkerbell kept squeezing under my feet to get at something. So, I threw a toy and she left in a fury after it...a few minutes later there she was again trying to get at something under my feet...and so-on and so-on. After about 400 attempts I pulled myself away from the computer and layed on the floor to see what the heck she was doing. My computer sits inside a large armour. The bottom is only about 1 inch from the floor so I could not see. I went searching for something to fish with.

As I was fishing around I felt something and managed to pull it out...it was a catnip ball...She was not interested in it. So, back I went...and again I found another ball. Well, by the time I was finished I managed to pull 6 catnip balls, 3 fake mice, and two saks of catnip out.

Another thing that I found almost sent me over the edge...

Tinkerbell likes to fish a little her self...that is in her kitty liter pan. This is why I scoop it three times a day! Well, we call it "Cat Hockey". I also pulled a few petrified turds out... :(

After all of that she grabbed a piece of paper that had fallen off of my desk while I was searching.

What a little devil

Uh...Hmmm...Not quite sure how to respond to those kitty's. A veterinarian visit might be in the future...Are they up to date on their distemper and rabies shots?

Actually what the hack are you guys feeding them? A little scary...My cat and dog just ran away.

I am expecting EVERYONE to jump on me at once about this - but I feel I must voice my opinion:

I cannot STAND picture of animals like this! I'm not sure why, but it really, REALLY bothers me. These pictures, to me, are disgusting. And they are creepy. A lot of people think of their pets as their kids - would you actually post a picture of your baby looking like this? I hope NOT! And if you did, how could you do that? They are your babies!!

I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but I don't think this is funny.

I agree, these pictures are not funny and do not belong here. Please remove them. We all love our pets.... these look like a promotion for animal abuse.

Well, ya got me here! I don't see the humor in these two. Just a waste of space!

(BTW - this doesn't mean I don't agree with your philosophy - I just don't care for your portrayal!)
