Possibly.

As for CamStudio, I can't actually say anything negative OR positive about it - except that it seems to be allergic to Windows Vista. Whenever I tried using it, it would just give off random static instead of a video, or placed random static all over the place in a rainbow of colors in the video.

It could be because it's not Vista compatible, but I honestly can't say. :?

I did find that when you try to use it to capture full-screen programs there are problems, but if you run the program you're trying to record (eg. WA or the Editor) in windowed mode and set the capturing to a region of the screen, then things work okay, even on Vista. (I haven't tried it in XP.)

Of course, it might still differ on your computer, since different computer have different models of graphics card and associated software.

It can't be because I'm running anything in Fullscreen - I'm scared to death of Fullscreen thanks to Vista freezing occasionally.

So it's about my video card.... I think.

I have a question for Com Rante. I am working on a level in my editor called secret wonders and I am wondering if I can use your idea of rainbows end and your textures for my game. Thanks. Kabooms Rock

Why did the chicken cross the road?
Because if the road crossed the chicken the old lady's would trip over the bump!
(no offence to anyone who thinks of themselves as "old")

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMP.

Maybe we could make a "Rainbow's End Remake".

Plotline: The player (whom I will refer to as "Peegue") boards a boat on a voyage to X Island (filler name). Halfway through, a few Stinkers leave the boat on a weird floating machine. The Captain describes them to Peegue as "some scientist group". Later, the ship crashes upon the Purple Shore. Peegue finds out about the Black Machine and decides to stop it. As the story progresses, Peegue discovers that Stinker's from Wonderland had been there before, and had destroyed the Green Marsh to replace it with a Green Laboratory which is also putting the planet at risk. Naturally, those Stinkers were the scientists.

Bad Ending: Peegue buys a boat from the Red Thwart, goes home without destroying either threat, and finds Wonderland to be dying upon his arrival. The end.

Normal Ending: Peegue destroys the Green Laboratory and the Captain manages to rebuild the boat. The crew (including the scientists, who were banished from the island) leave to find Wonderland colorless except for a small area. Peegue decides to enjoy that small area.

Good Ending: Peegue destroys the Green Laboratory, and stays behind to destroy the Black Machine while the Captain returns the scientists to Wonderland. Once the Black Machine is destroyed, an inhabitant of Rainbow's End sends Peegue home to Wonderland, which is as peaceful as always.

Areas in order of encounter:

Purple Shore, the starting area and the home of the Purple Thwart.

Indigo Woods, a mildly scary forest where the Indigo Thwart lives.

Cyan Canyon, home to the Cyan Thwart.

Red Desert, location of the Red Thwart's shop and the Bad Ending.

Green Laboratory, the first encountered bad area run by the Scientist Stinkers. Based upon a suggestion from someone earlier in this topic, it's destruction triggers a choice between the Normal Ending and playing onwards.

Yellow Garden, a suggestion by the same guy, is one of the more beautiful areas due to the Yellow Thwart acting as a gardener.

Orange Valley, complete with a train track. See one of Com Rante's posts in this topic.

Black Machine, accessible only if you complete the other areas 100%. It's destruction triggers the Good Ending.
