This is a topic not about arguing which game console is better than another, this is a topic about discussing game consoles. Discuss doesn't mean argue.
Right now, I have an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo DSi(won't turn on, needs repair). I'm thinking about getting a Wii because my last one I had a looooong time ago broke.... Oh, also, I'm winning an auction on eBay for a Sega Genesis. It should be here in a week or two if I win.
Well, I have something to discuss about consoles. Backwards compatibility.
It's useful for me, because (for example,) I have an Xbox 360, so in a way, that means I own a plain Xbox too. Wiis can play Gamecube games, PS3s can play PS2 and PS1 games (AFAIK), and Atari 7800s can play Atari 2600 games. Yeah....
But then there's a console. The Sega Master System. It has FORWARD compatibility. AFAIK It can play Sega Genesis games. Well, once you get the right expansion module. Sega Genesisiseses... umm, well, they came out AFTER Sega Master Systems. I just didn't think something like that would happen. It's like if Wiis could play >SPOILERS< games. It's strange.
Discussing mode commence!
Discussion about home/portable game consoles.
For that matter, the image quality on the 60GB if you were playing PS1/2 games was terrible. Everything had sharp edges, the colors were off a lot, the models were blockier than the Nintendo DS... It's not worth the $600 bucks that it cost, and it's still not worth even $200.ben-09 wrote:It's worth noting that only the original 60GB ps3 was backwards compatible, and you can't buy that anymore, so ps3 isn't really backwards compatible anymore.
